The old one being the city crest? That one wasn't copyrightable (and I think too complex to stitch cost-effectively) but I don't think there's any problem with the one above. That one's my favourite anyway, I'd love to see us go back to a modernised version of that. cheers, thats what i couldnt remember, i knew one wasnt able to be copyrighted!

I know SLP aren't the most popular on this site, but I do like the shirt they've made with Fused Sport, and with permission from Stoke to use the badge as well. Really like it, will probs pre order, but no size guide available so it's worth asking them. /photo/1 Also a bit of a twitter drama as well, with our Stoke Analytics mate tagging Stoke and the Stoke store in tweets about using the badge. Not the first time he's tried to dob them in for rights to use an image.
Away from all that, I'm glad the club gave them permission to make it. Well done Stoke.
Looks bloody awful

The colours and that badge make it look like something the sporting wing of the Hitler Youth might have worn! I can see it going down extremely well with many of the posters on the EEB... Now that would be an interesting method of advertising your shirt That bloke at QPR will be in his element, a player with no neck to abuse every week......

As I'm not in the knowledge of the dislike of SLP, would someone mind telling me what the hate towards them is all about? I thought they were a popular source for news and updates on social media.

Why are they not popular? Actually a nice shirt There are a few people who reckon they're bullshitters and post stuff for attention, and famed for their hiding in the bushes. I don't mind them at all, post what they post, let em get on with it.

Tbh I’d like to know why I’m not liked. As a social media platform we try to offer news that’s already in the media and some that’s not via our own contacts within and around the club. We do this freely due to our love of the club. We try hard to promote the club in a good light but do counter speculation that we know as unfounded against people employed by the club. It’s only in the last 8 months that i started a limited company up so I would be able to sell advertising space on social media platforms, Stoke loud and proud being one of those platforms. These shirts have come about due to a partnership between SL&P and a local sports brand business that advertise via our Facebook page.

Wasn't it Leeds that had that aborted badge design where the badge was a picture of a man where the badge should be? I must go and look it up. And to think, two hours ago I was delivering a lecture on semiotics. Hang on... Here it is! Its a song and action they do mate, the badge is decent imo. We'll have to disagree mate. As a design, its fucking awful, whether it reflects a song they sing or not. It's not even a crest/badge, which are either, iconic, symbolic or indexical. This is just a figurative drawing of someone punching their chest. And the typography is shit too. And if it was any good, why were their fans up in arms? Apologies for going overboard but this nonsense bothers me. Its my job to care.

If Stoke had any commercial insight whatsoever, they should be coming up with their own retro gear not allowing others to use their crest and doing it themselves. Look at Leeds retro range for instance: shop.leedsunited.com/retro-shirtsThe Admiral stuff is top notch. Imagine a modern remake of this: But sadly they don't. Our commercial department is so bad. We're stuck in the early 90's and light years behind other clubs. No foresight, no imagination and no drive at all.

So people moan that a current replica shirt is £45 yet are happy to pay £35 for a made up design? I think it looks nice but it is expensive. I own the design it's copied from when the Stoke shop sold it and I think that was only £35-£40. If people are interested in retro shirts then toffs is where to go. I have put the link below for people. www.toffs.com/shop-by-team/football/championship/stoke-city

I wouldn’t wear it, and I’ve already got the retro version sold in the stadium store. Though if I had a clue how to edit it I’d like to see the white swapped for navy blue and the middle black stripe changed to white. A bit like one of the early Britannia away kits, might have been the first. I’ve always thought a modern take on that would look good.

You'll never see a cruder edit in your life, it makes my Hitler edit look almost realistic, because using the fill tools it's really turned the shirt very 2 dimensional but it's the general gist of it. As for the navy colour, I just used the colour code for Navy, not necessarily Stoke away shirt navy. The edges are rough and unequal as shit but after a while I couldn't be arsed because the Adobe 'this isn't genuine software' message kept appearing and did my head in
