Looking to go Suffolk’ for a week in June, got some good RSPB places out there. The Bride is 60 this year so planning to see the Northern Lights later in the year Planning being the word. The amount of people I know who have been places like Iceland Norway. Some seen some haven't. You really have to get lucky with Northern lights don't you. Perhaps someone on here has seen them? Have seen them in Dooey Beach in Co Donegal where you can get quite lucky, (with the Northern Lights I mean). Malin Head is a well known spot for seeing them, they are absolutely fantastic. I would suggest a camera and charging your phone unlike myself but I just happen to see them whilst driving to see friends first time.

Who can recommend the best trip for Kerry Chaps. Im thinking of taking a few days around end Aug Sept.
Looking the Kilerny is a place to stay. As ive mentioned before always fancied the southern irish coast. Seen one hotel at 345 Euros for like 5 nights. Flights into kerry i may need to go from luton. Manchester looks like a stop at Dublin. I fancy picking up a car when i arrive and doing the ring of Kerry.
Any advice appreciated 👍

Harbourmasters House also serves as the local B&B, Pub, General Store and Sweetie Shop ! Location is superb although remote but the seafood and the Guinness is the best.

Kenmare to Dingle on the Wild Atlantic Way is something

To Shannon airport where I was picked up as that was for work. Dublin, which was also work so took a taxi to a hotel and Derry where I explored the North and North West. I think the hire car was booked with the flight but it was all very easy. The South West was done taking the car over by ferry as I was at a conference in Dublin for the first few days but then carried on to Waterford, Cork and Kerry. The West coast from South to North is spectacular though and every time I've been to Ireland, there's been an interesting/funny/weird moment that's given me a few pub stories over the years!

Just back from Windermere it was stunning everything was open and only a short hop up the M6. I'm off to Frankfurt and Cologne in a few days for a week (wedding) and booked the same in December for both Christmas markets.

I'm lucky my youngest lad lives in Frankfurt so we go quite often we fly to Cologne because it's cheaper ☺️ and travel down to stay in Dreieich Frankfurt with his missus mother than back up to Cologne because it's a brilliant night out.

Last week I picked up Ryanair flights to Malaga for £38 return each, managed to get Accom where we normally stay in Benalmadena for £130 for 5 nights. Don't need cases with it only being 5 nights so just gotta sort some transfers out but it's looking likely total cost will be under £300 for the 2 of us for the end of April. 1 Big tip if you live around here, search for flights as singles not return, We're flying out of Brum and back to Manc. Couple of years ago we flew out to Gerona but flew back from Barca, the money we saved on the return flight form Barca paid for an extra nights stay in Barca as we'd spent the week in Lloret De Mar. The only downside was the £150 taxi fare to pick up the car in Brum airport. I did similar to that a few years ago but the other way around, so the day before I drove my car down to East midlands and left it in a pre booked car park and got the train back (there is a shuttle bus that drops you off at derby station) day of the flight got a lift to Manc airport

Any tips on Cornwall. I know it might sound easy but still advice and knowledge is valuable. Driving best option. Will want to get around once there. Wildlife Photography a good reson for going. Sea birds etc. Also fancy just taking in the coast. A beer at night stuff like that. Nothing too mad. Just a few days relaxing there.

Thanks all for the advice. Will look into it. Where is everyone off to this year? Looking to go Suffolk’ for a week in June, got some good RSPB places out there. The Bride is 60 this year so planning to see the Northern Lights later in the year I did RSPB South Stack Angelsey tues/wed but weather ruined it. Camera equipment had to go in bag on the Tues the wind was that strong. Misty and drizzling aswell so didnt see much. Got better in eve but not many species about.

Got back from Crete on Thursday. Lovely 9 night break. Felt very safe throughout (apart from when driving on some of the shittest roads I've driven on, and Google maps is awful there) and would highly recommend it to anyone. Mask wearing from getting into the taxi to the airport and only taking it off once through the airport over there was a bit of a pain but it is what it is. So glad we went.

The coastline is great around there and easily accessible as part of the coastal walking route around Wales. St Davids, the UK’s smallest city and Pembroke Castle are worth a visit too. St Davids Head is a nice walk, though there are plenty of those (nearly 200 miles of coastline). I think Tenby is the main touristy spot, and it is a nice spot (or at least was when I visited around 10 years ago).

Don't miss the gobsmackingly beautiful Bosherston Lily Ponds. www.britainexpress.com/wales/pembrokeshire/bosherston-lakes.htmYou can't go wrong anywhere along the coast perhaps with the exception of Milford Haven Tenby, Saunderfoot Pembroke, St Davids all well worth a visit. Barafundle Bay and Marloes Sands are as good as you'll get anywhere in the UK.

Great thread was hoping we had one of these 👍
Not long been back from a week in Istanbul, great city, great people. Watching the sunset over the Bosphorus while the call to prayer rings out over a misty haze and the city skyline is quite something. Best photography spots in the entire city are from the Galata Bridge I'd say.
Awesome food and unbelievably good value. If you're into your clothes there is some seriously good replica merch (most of its made in Bursa, a few hours away) and will cost you next to nothing but at now detriment to the quality of the material. Id never go for fake merch but it's hard to resist this stuff!
Some great historical sights throughout the city and the very historical Sultanahmet old part of town is where its at. A trip to the blue mosque and Hagia Sophia is a must.
Nightlife is pretty solid and was unsure how "Liberal" the drinking culture would be but it's indeed, very Liberal. Kadikoy and Besiktas the best shouts. Draught beer at most the bars and very safe to wander around in the early hours. Tinder pretty lively there too if you're single and keen for a shag - lots of fit Russians if you're lucky enough to pull one. All in all I'd give Isty a solid 8.5/10.
P.s don't be surprised to see a bunch of bandaged up guys and girls as it appears to be the home of transplants and cheap plastic surgery. Great if you fancy getting a new head of hair or new set of tits ☺️
