I'm probably doing Ireland alone. I don't mind it. Anyone else mind traveling alone? Hope you get somewhere even if it's just for a few days. I'm off Prague in June for first time with mates. Looking forward to it. Ireland one of those places where in general strangers will chat away to you. My Mum was from Southern Ireland so spent so much time there Am away to Buenos Aires in a few weeks, looking forward to that then away to Arganda del Rey as my Great Uncle fought in theWar there at the Battle of Jarama with the International Brigades. The monument to the International Brigades is in Limerick town centre. What you doing in Argentina sight seeing? Bet it's quite a long flight. Never visited South America.

Mongolian Yurts,” We've decorated it in our house style, with quirky antique and upcycled furniture, and a lovely kingsize bed handcrafted from Knepp oak, with reclaimed hexagonal bed posts. With a luxury natural fibre mattress, four down pillows, a down duvet, pure Egyptian cotton sheets and colourful recycled wool blanket, you'll have a wonderful night's sleep.” WTF Has happened to you!?! As I said, it was the Mrs idea, she has been wanting to go in ages, she has never wanted to camp, she was a bit horrified there wasn't an ensuite I'm off to Cyprus to run a marathon - trade off

Last week I picked up Ryanair flights to Malaga for £38 return each, managed to get Accom where we normally stay in Benalmadena for £130 for 5 nights. Don't need cases with it only being 5 nights so just gotta sort some transfers out but it's looking likely total cost will be under £300 for the 2 of us for the end of April.
1 Big tip if you live around here, search for flights as singles not return, We're flying out of Brum and back to Manc. Couple of years ago we flew out to Gerona but flew back from Barca, the money we saved on the return flight form Barca paid for an extra nights stay in Barca as we'd spent the week in Lloret De Mar.

Spot on it's about being "savvy" even for hotels etc I ring them up and ask for their best price, comparison sites are good for a quide and you do get some bargains but it's worth a phone call or email direct to them. Theres always a deal to be done I'm quite cut throat too I name hotels and the price and ask them to beat it politely of course ( unusual for me i know) 😁

I go to Germany once a month I'm off to Beaudesert in Queensland this September. We visit our lads one in each country. I would recommend Cologne( Christmas market this year was amazing), Frankfurt, Palermo, I'm hoping to go to Hungary and Denmark this year at some point all long weekend visits Thursday-Sunday all Ryanair cheap flights no bags. But our all time favourite place is Singapore which I first visited to watch Stoke in 2015 and I've been back several times since it's an amazing place. However it's not cheap to drink there so for a piss up holiday we go to Thailand purely for a two week blow out. Grow old disgracefully I say 😁 I've told my kids I'm leaving no cash to them just our house and whatever insurance we've got should we pop our clogs.

It can be expensive for booze if you go to bars the secret is local food markets. For example a coffee shop near to our hotel had coffee and cake for $15 but if we walked 100 more yards there was a housing complex with it's own outside food court and coffee was $1 and breakfast was $1.50 for an egg prata with a spicy curry sauce. Beer was around £10 in bars but about £3-4 in the food markets for a ltr bottle. Food is the same you can find cheap options and its 100% quality food freshly cooked.

For those that have been best things to do in Prague. Think our hotel is near to a brewery. We will be drinking plenty of beer.
Our Hotel is only next door to the beer hall. Happy Days.

We tagged on to a walking tour (think it was a Sandemans one where you pay at the end) and it was superb, the lad doing the tour was so knowledgeable and evidently loved his city. He was caught up in the Velvet Revolution as a babe in arms apparently, I suppose he could've been telling a tale but it was a bloody good one if he was We booked up for one of their pre paid tours for the next day, also brilliant, ended up in one of the monastery breweries on that tour, first time I've seen a nun on the piss www.neweuropetours.eu/prague-walking-tours/Lidice is pretty close by too, we were going to go but I came down with man flu and couldn't be arsed

We were supposed to sail around the Ionian Islands but our crew abandoned us unexpectedly, so never ones to give up on a holiday, DH and I decided to turn it into a one week road trip in Corfu instead haha Being from Italy, we didn’t even think of renting a car but pre-booked a large scooter and also booked corfu airport transfers. Our first port of call was Corfu Town where we had booked a superior room at the old fashioned Cavalieri. This is an old, slightly shabby hotel , not devoid of charm set in a perfect location for the view over the citadel and for walking about in the old town. Of course we did not miss the 6pm opening of the rooftop bar which well deserves its reputation as the best aperitif spot in town. Corfu, or Kyrkyra , is a gem of a town with its mix of Byzantine and Venetian architecture, its narrow streets, grand palazzi and tiny piazzas. Its run down atmosphere reminded me more of old Bari in Puglia than Venice except for the countless tacky tourist shops which filled all the available space in the alleys.

I just got back from Namibia which is also my 50th country! Granted, it was for work, but it still feels awesome to get to that milestone. When I was a kid, I pretty much just wanted to travel the world, so I consider myself very fortunate to be able to see so much. Louise Minchin and Co are there at the moment climbing the dunes. Our school had a connection with a Namibian school back in the 90's and randomly learnt to play the Ocarina which is an African instrument from Namibia? What did u get to see? How hot was it? Did you have to go from Heathrow?

I was planning to walk Spain's Costa da Morte (Coast of Death - so named due to all the shipwrecks) in May over around ten days. It has some great beaches, spectacular coastline, loads of lighthouses and passes through some nice little villages. I was avoiding returning to the Hebrides again for fear of becoming addicted to the place, though the Costa da Morte looks very like the Hebrides in parts... Then a friend asked me if I'd like to visit Georgia, but only for a few days. I've been to Georgia before, and it's awesome (and very cheap). So I looked into extending my part of the trip to Armenia, Azerbaijan or NE Turkey. Azerbaijan has some unimaginably epic places, so that was my first choice. Then a music festival with loads of bands I like was announced in northern Italy. So I thought about combining that with a trip to Switzerland. Then Coronavirus kicked off in northern Italy. So I'm not sure what to do now. Maybe I'll stay in the UK. I'm probably doing Ireland alone. I don't mind it. Anyone else mind traveling alone? I usually travel alone. It's great being able to do what I want, and I meet people as part of that (apart from when I walked the Isle of Jura's west coast and didn't see another person for 5 days - the lack of social contact was driving me mad). If you're after wildlife and scenery, I highly recommend the Hebrides. It's not all wilderness like Jura's west coast! The Azores are incredible too, with car hire from around £7/day (I went last April). If driving, avoid the very narrow roads!

My Great Uncle fought in The Spanish Civil War and spent time in Barizo before returning home. It's very fishing orientated and very similar to rural Scotland and Ireland like you say. Can see why he chose there

The only downside was the £150 taxi fare to pick up the car in Brum airport.

Lol Ryanair Manchester to Dublin £5 one way for March 2020, Return £19. Copenhagen return £18 some cracking deals atm. Strange how Ryanair have increased their prices given the cancellations they have made. The cheapest flight is £19.99 now one way.
