We still have to play Luton, Wigan, Barnsley and Middlesbrough. Make no mistake massive games! Whilst today and the Preston game were shite teams above us haven't managed to pull away to much, and we need as many teams involved in this scrap as possible.

We are playing most away aren't we?

8 away 6 at home. Two of the away games are Luton and Wigan we are more than capable of picking up points against those. We also have other winnable games at home starting next week. We really need to start doing the business at home. Cardiff, Brum, Hull, Barnsley and Middlesbrough all winnable home fixtures the other home game being Brentford. We need 12 points from those games minimum and hopefully avoid defeat to Luton and Wigan away. The next month will define our season.

You have to put it in perspective and look at where we were when O'Neill joined and where we are now, we'd have killed to be in this position we were dead and buried.
Derby was a bad day at the office, Preston I thought we played well until they scored, but today's capitulation against a team mid table and struggling for goals is worrying. I fully expect O'Neill to act and make changes to personnel and/or formation.....

Lindsay was a far better option than Chester, as it turns out. That performance against wba was heroic. Then today happened. Mon needs to see whats gone wrong and change it back.

We will know our fate on april 4th Barnsley .After that 4 teams out of the last 5 games Leeds, Bristol city, Brenford and Forrest are fighting for promotion and points will be hard to come by.

We're currently at 1.03ppg for the entire season and 1ppg since the close of the window. We have 13 games left - 6 at home and 7 away.
If we carry that on for the rest of the season we'll end up with 47 points. We need to carry on at par and eek out one more win to get to the magic 50.
In short, we need 16 points from this lot:
February Cardiff City (H) Blackburn Rovers (A) Luton Town (A)
March Hull City (H) Reading (A) Middlesbrough (H) Wigan Athletic (A)
April Barnsley (H) Leeds United (A) Birmingham City (H) Bristol City (A) Brentford (H)
May Nottingham Forest (A)

There are no obvious changes to make and this is the best shape for us and has been since Sparky. You say put it into perspective then expect the manager to change a team drastically that are in the top 10 since he took over...

Where did I say he needs to change the team drastically just out of interest?

Any one of which could be already promoted/guaranteed a play off place and resting players when we play them. Football doesn't work like that.....

What worries the hell out of me is our incapability to capitalise on other results when given the opportunity.

The downside for us is that we are also capable of losing any game even if we take a two goal lead. Just don't think you can sit down and analyse it game by game. Sit back back, fasten your seatbelt and enjoy (?) the ride
