If Ryan hadn't had his injuries we wouldn't be in this position.

How about we try scouting players, "25 times"? Or even just a few more times than once or a trip into fm 2016?
We've had 13 years to prepare for a Ryan replacement. I find it really odd that almost the entire staff we had 10 years ago could, 10 years later, walk back into the team. I'm not joking, if done hasn't retired they would easily come back and do better than this shower of shit. I'm not even exaggerating. Liam Lawrence has more version and tactical nouse than most of these. They are brainless, spineless, and don't give a shit

Apparently Ryan goes to away games to inspire the team; whatever he does didn't work this time.

Apparently Ryan goes to away games to inspire the team; whatever he does didn't work this time. I'm afraid that if we're relying on Ryan to be back as a saviour, we're doomed to a spell in,at best, the first division. And I'm a big fan of Ryan and would love to see him back, but I fear the task is too big for a distinguished but veteran player with his injury record.

Didn't our upturn in results start when Ryan was rushed back for a couple of games? Past his best but a leader and how we've missed a leader...

You appear to have missed out on the information that Ryan goes to games in "civilian" clothes so to speak. Perhaps he's preparing for an ambadassorial role before at some point in the future becoming our manager. His injury record won't stop him from doing this, unless his back takes a serious turn for the worse and he ends up in a wheelchair or whatever. Very hypothetical. Whether one believes Ryan would be a good manager is up to each person, but I have little doubt that Peter Coates sees him as one, THE one.

Some Stoke fans genuinely deserve a lifetime of Wimmer, Woolschied, Collins, Batth and Lindsay.

Anyone idea when he's back? MON mentioned he had a set back and was about 10 days away from training in his press conference last week. When he said that I thought to myself somewhere around the end of Feb before available for selection. But the end of Feb will come and he will have another set back and then his return will be the end of March and so on and so on. We really can't rely on him ever playing regular football for us ever again. We need to get rid as he must be costing the club a fortune in wages, we would have to get rid if we dropped a tier, same with Butland, Allen, BMI and any others who command a large wage, so in that terms it may not be a bad thing to go down - a complete rebuild of this club is needed, but it will take years
