Batth and Lindsay kept 3 clean sheets in a row against Millwall, West Brom and Swansea - three teams who were in the top 10 at the time. Batth and Chester have conceded 7 in three games against Charlton, Preston and QPR - the latter that hadn't scored more than 1 in a game going back to the start of January in the league (a total of 4 goals in 7 league games!!!). I'm not blaming Chester per se, as we had the anomaly of conceding 4 at Derby which warps the clean sheet stats, but maybe the addition of Chester has upset the defence or maybe Batth and Chester won't work that well as a pair? Bar the West Brom game the defence still didn’t look anything like. I can see why MON changed it up. But Smith and Batth need to be in the firing line too imo. I’ve wanted Federici Edwards and Collins back in the side for a while now. The left back though is a colossal fuck up. Who in your opinion is to blame for not signing a LB in the January transfer window Bayern ?, this has been an issue for at least two seasons now, he can not have thought that Tymon was the answer surely, hanging BMI out to dry is disgusting no wonder he is pissed off, what has happened to old man Ward ?

The left back situation is even worse than that, but we never got to that point because of the breakdown in Bruno's transfer. This manager saw the short term (maybe even medium term?) solution to the problem as Chris Brunt, who at 35, has allegedly played LB once in the last two seasons if you believe Transfermarkt. I'm not totally blaming O'Neill btw, as he will go back to what and who he knows in the short term fire fighting place we reside in, but it's more evidence on top of the pages and pages of evidence we already have about our recruitment process that has seen us spend hundreds of millions to take us to the precipice of League One. You know my thoughts on Collins wrt Chester. It's a transfer that shouldn't have happened. A proper football club uses Lindsay and Collins as options, with BMI as a floating back up (or sold) with a proper left back brought in. It's conversations we had a good month ago now. Nothing's changed. To think of the balance of left and right, young and old we could have had, with players in their right positions. Pretty dreadful if you ask me.

I actually think he was slightly less wank than Chester today. Chester has been a massive disappointment so far. He seems to have disrupted the fragile balance that we were cultivating in the few weeks prior to his arrival.

Mr unreliable. Donkey. 50p head. Call him what you want but he is awful. Shawcross at 8.5% never mind 85% is better than that lump. Needs dropping. Slower than a ZX! Abysmal player....another dick we are stuck with!

He made a mistake midweek and surprisingly for a lad with his experience, he doesn't seem to have put a foot right since. He's gone from playing with Tyrone mings to Danny batth. It's enough to put anyone off their game

Chester is 100% worth persevering with, Batth is not. Collins has to come in for him.

I think that's why Michael brought him in.

Yeah not great is he.
Tone knows his centre halves and he shipped him off super quick.
