I'm not excusing how painfully bad our back four are but good god Butland is worse.
Every single opposition goalie we've come up against so far this season has commanded his box with more authority. Including those we've beaten.
He might as well pull up a chair on his line.

As soon as Scholes opened his mouth, you knew the wheels would come off. It's almost as if the players do it to spite him. Yes, let's talk about the players. Concidence the window has closed or has O'Neill upset them? Every inch a Rowett and Jones performance this. They couldn't play a diamond and I'm assuming a generic 4231 is beyond them now? Performances like that get managers the sack pure and simple. Yeah we all know Jones was out of his depth but its crystal clear some of this lot willingly chucked him under a bus. I hope MON has more about him to let them get away with it on his watch. |

I said it at the time and got laughed at mate. It's all water straight off the ducks back and under the bridge. It's obvious that this squad of players play for themselves and when they want to. It's clear as day that a lot of them were playing for a move in January and a fair few of them have visibly downed tools since. Once they get fed up of O'Neill we'll be back to where we were at the start of the season. I fear we're half way there already. God forbid they kick back in again and keep us up. They'll be shushing us from Stoke on Trent all the way to their party in Dubai. |

I watched the game on the TV so the commentary was done by QPR fans but they picked up on the fact that BMI seemed scared to go forward with the ball at his feet and he played very much like a centre half out of position. What seemed obvious to me was that he has no pace and if the ball was pushed past him it was game over, they were however full of praise for Baath and to some extent I think he was hung out to dry by the rest of the defence. Without a doubt BMI had a game he won't want to look back on. |

I think that is a good point, but his last two or three performances have been less than inspiring. |

Lindsay was very poor against Derby, and I guess he got dropped on that performance, but Chester was dreadful yesterday. At least Lindsay is excellent in the air - he might have stopped Preston scoring from their 2 corners for example. BMI drifted out of position constantly against QPR. There was so much space down our left side in the second half that it felt like we were playing with 10 men. After that shambolic performance I’d replace him with Tymon next game. |
