I know fans round me who come on a Saturday but not midweek cos of the red button. For me the quality of the red button is appalling, only one angle and no replays. I would rather record it and watch it once I've seen the match live.

100%.
There’s 6 of us that sit together and only 3 that were there last night mainly due to work commitments.
Pre-red Burton there’s games that we would have bust a gut to get back for, Ive done it myself leaving work in the North East at 16:30 to rush back, knowing the game is onthe red button makes me less likely to do it....

They've blocked pubs from showing the red button games so probably won't be long before they do away with it all together.

Looked like the Mary Celeste.
And the captain and crew are certainly in peril!

Two lads in front of me were not there last night but I don't blame them. One of them comes from Buxton with his lad who is about 8 or 9. It's late for him by the time it finishes and he probably has school the next morning.
Some will rather watch it at home than be out. If it's cold that might put people off. Sometimes it's work etc for people which can't be helped.
I don't miss many though.

My journey home after a Midweek game means I would be home at1:30am. With getting up at 5:15 for work, I can’t do that anymore. Red button on Virgin is crap.

That’s fine if you live up the road and finish work at a reasonable time, but if you work out of the area beating the traffic to get to the ground, parking up and making it in time for kick off can be a massive ball ache. I drove up from Lutterworth and luckily the traffic was kind to me, but for the West Brom game I was still sat on the M6 near Coventry as the game kicked off. And as for away fans a lot of people will just choose the easy option of watching at home with a beer in hand.....

It is my choice to be a Stoke Supporter. I choose to purchase a season ticket! This secures my seat for a season of home games. It also secures a guaranteed income for Stoke City FC. If I choose to not attend a game it is once again my choice and my option! I do not need some scrote on here telling me I'm a farce!

My point is aimed at people who are able to get to the game, location obviously causes problems but if you are able to get to the game and sack it off because of the red button you are abit of a farce.

Fair enough, and my point is that there’s a hell of a lot of people that struggle to get to the ground in a timely fashion for night games, for those people the lure of the red button is understandable.......

What bollocks. People live a distance away, people have kids, people may finish late from work etc etc etc. And tbh after watching that shower last night how anyone can blame anyone for not going I don't know.

I watch on the Red Button but leave my lounge on 80 minutes so that I can beat the traffic* on the way to the kitchen.
*the traffic is in the form of a large cat

I'm not even sure he's a genuine cat. I suspect the Mrs has hired a midget or toddler to wear a realistic feline outfit as part of an elaborate prank.
