I wouldn’t be surprised to see Powell up top, Campbell on the left and Ince on right with Thompson in and Cousins in marking Eze.

Diouf in and Powell on the bench? And drop Batth? Is your name Nathan? Nope, just like the pace in that team since Campbell will probably be pushed wide. I want someone who can run at people up top. Diouf seemed the best option since I am not sure Ngoy is going to be a 90 minute player (then again Diouf may not be either). Also for Batth I have never rated him. Since we have conceded 7 in the last 3 games I would think a change may help. Campbell's best game was wide @ Huddersfield. Diouf isn't a 9 minute player.

3 or 4 years ago maybe. His productivity at Huddersfield and here has been nothing of note; why would it change now? I don't really understand your point. I have no idea how often Ince played on the left for Huddersfield but I can't even remember one game he played for us on the left. OK, my memory may be faulty, but I doubt if even 1 in 10 of his games for us have been on the left. If he was scoring plenty for us on the right I could understand the desire to keep him there but he's scored 2 all season. If he moved to MaClean's spot on the left he'd at least be able to get crosses in with his natural foot. OK he would not be able to cut in and shoot with his left foot so easily, but, as I pointed out earlier, he's hardly been scoring for fun with that tactic. My instinct would be at least give Ince a run out on the left against QPR and see how he does. I never said that Ince was likely to be more creative on the left- FM said that statistically he does better on the left. My point was that he has done nothing of note for 3 years at Huddersfield and Stoke, while playing in his favoured “Derby” position. Why, would he therefore offer anything any different to the lousy form of the last 3 seasons, if he moved to the left? Wherever he’s put, we will be playing with 10 anyway. Play Thompson on the left- who might actually beat a man and get a cross in- something that Ince doesn’t offer. If Clucas is fit, drop Ince altogether and put Gregory there- he will offer just as much ( or little) as Ince.

Do you follow McClean on Instagram? He certainly seems to look after himself. Very dedicated to the fitness side of things. Can you imagine if Charlie Adam did the same thing? Uploading videos of what he was up to on his days off during an injury lay off.

MON said in yesterday’s presser that Macca will be out for 5 or 6 weeks didn’t he?
