Bowers has got ants in his pants because it looks like we might yet get out of this mess.
He was bouncing around like Ken Dodd on ecstacy after the Wigan game - the Vale melt.

Has there been some kind of restructure/redundancy/furlough exercise at Radio Stoke? It seems any time I tune in, the Sports Dept is running pretty much everything after 6 o'clock at night - and other times too. I'm sure Phil Cartwight and Co. are reading all the news bulletins as well.
Also - has something gone off at the Sentinel recently? I get the impression the Editor leaving was unexpected - I think he's even quit the industry all together.
WTF is going on in S-o-T media at the minute?

Radio Stoke have been victims or rather are going to become victims of a big BBC shake up. Reports that the likes of Den and the truly awful Louise Stones are set to depart . I think the programmes might end up linked maybe to the likes of Radio 5 in the future. As for Tideswell that was out of the blue. The Sentinel has gone from a huge organisation where Bet 365 now is to a shed up Hanley. All caused by the internet. Haven't bought a Sentinel in 20 years

Haven't bought a Sentinel in 20 years Are you surprised though, the age of radio now is complete rehash of the same playlists, features. Cannot get live football via a mobile phone due to contractual reasons yet bbc sounds is for mobiles. The sentinel has been woeful for years. Only used to be featured such as friday night houses, weds job vacancies, monday night car classified and the green un that kept it afloat. When you see the level of rehashed drivel on the internet sites, do you really think people will part with 70p a day to read about how Ron had his shed broken into in rough close. Papers are too slow when news on internet is instant.

Local coverage is going to take a massive hit here. First we have the 100M that is being removed from local broadcasting, that oddly kinda matches the figure for a "diversity" review. How many in the local broadcasting group would favour keeping that 100M where it is instead on spending it on their diverse interests? Signal as we know is now some London rehash bar a breakfast programme, so that's going to be absolutely awful. Radio in short is a bag of shit. In the meantime the Sentinel is owned by Mirror group newspapers and as we know is just a load of piffle recently. I recently read a paper-copy and it wasn't worth the trouble. Organisations consider local-news the soft-underbelly of public cutting. People don't care about Ron's shed in rough close and those are probably covered by Twitter or the local Facecrook book, where the thief has already been identified. Welcome to the modern world.

I can't quite decide whether he jumped or was pushed.......

Offices of smaller papers being sold off with a relocation to a regional centre. Sentinel to move to a regional centre?

Can ultimately see the 'Sentinel' following the same route.
