Australia is wider than the Moon My terre de domicile Chile is a good one for this. Overlaid on other parts of the globe, Chile would stretch... - all the way across the USA - from the middle of Canada to Mexico City - from the arctic circle to Northern Africa - from Beijing to Delhi - from London to Baghdad - and yes, right across the moon and beyond East-west it’s about the distance from Stoke to York.

Actor Steve Buscemi is an ex NYFD fireman. The day after 9/11 he worked 12 hour shifts clearing rubble and searching for survivors but refused to allow the press to photograph him. Good man Mr Pink

If you're ever in a restaurant in Vietnam and ask for a glass of Cobra wine you'll get rice wine with fresh snakes blood (killed on the spot) poured on top.
Never tried it, don't intend to.

If all the £20 notes in circulation were laid end to end they would stretch around the globe seven times ! ! It is alleged. I just did a rough calculation of what the value of that would be, using the measurements of the note and the circumference of the Earth, then googled the Bank of England's official figure of what's in circulation, and got a remarkably similar number.

I was not being clever . I was quoting a very reliable source.; The chief cashier of the Bank of England on Radio 5. It is a remarkable statistic.

The term ‘girl’ used to be a generic noun for either sex & was sometimes given the qualifier of knave girl for a boy & gay girl for a girl...
Also, pink used to be a boy’s colour & blue a girls...

If you have an anologue radio or tv, de-tune it so it's not locked to a station. Around 1% of the static you see/hear is radiation caused by the big bang.
