That is truly one of the finest comedy moments ever along with that character, the follow up in the office with Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) where he points out that he had held the door open for the bank robbers and the blind man with a monkey was a lookout is side splitting stuff How can a blind man be a lookout? How can an idiot be a policeman It’s very easy you just go and sign up 😂😂😂 Pink Panther Strikes Again on now, Channel 14 Freeview. 😆

Another thread reminded me of yet another classic comedy series from which there are so many memorably funny moments.
This one was the source of some controversy earlier this year...

Good find, partick. I have no time for racism but we have become too sensitive over race/gender issues when no real intent to offend is meant. I have much less for lying, cheating politicians who are in it for themselves and don't give a monkeys about ordinary folk.

Hey cobhamstokey - shame I can’t give a double like to those two videos. Black comedy drama is a superb genre which this country excels at. The sort of comedy that doesn’t need canned laughter or forced audience mirth to make you smile.

Fantastic😀 I’ve never seen either of those clips before. Brian Glover was brilliant in Kes. Great film that summed up working class Britain in the 70s. Lynne Perrie played Caspers mum too.

Some comments on the cricket thread about trying to avoid the score put me in mind if that classic episode of Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads.
Anyway, here’s one of the finest sketches (IMO) from that superb series.
Stick with it, because the punchline at the end is sensational!

Think that was the film wasn't it? Can't remember first time around but still stands up

Thanks for sharing that link. I was aware of that “feud”. I’m now aware of what it was really all about. You don’t have to like someone to be able to work well with them… for some reason the names Alan Hudson and Mike Pejic came to mind as I was typing that.
