For some reason can’t copy the link but google Peter Sellars Monkey organ grinder That is truly one of the finest comedy moments ever along with that character, the follow up in the office with Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) where he points out that he had held the door open for the bank robbers and the blind man with a monkey was a lookout is side splitting stuff How can a blind man be a lookout? How can an idiot be a policeman It’s very easy you just go and sign up 😂😂😂

Fucking hell, that is just abysmal. What on earth are ITV thinking with that claptrap!! I didn’t think anyone could be as unfunny as Sarah Millican but by jove she’s only gone and done it!! I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that female comedy performers are just not funny. OK, before anyone says Victoria Wood or Caroline Aherene, yes, they were brilliant writers. But the funniest characters in their sitcoms were men (Jim Royle/Stan the handyman in Dinnerladies) and I think they realised this when writing their own characters. Victoria Wood's (RIP) stand up was pretty mediocre. I'll probably get accused of being sexist but here's Exhibit A: Miranda Hart and also that bloody Ghostbusters vanity project remake. And no one watches The Fast Show for "does my bum look big in this?" i have to say that Denise in the Royles is one of the darkest comedy creations of all time, its so wonderfully played, seemingly innocent and idle but incredibly malevolent, i think one of my favourite scenes in the royles is where Anthony brings his girlfriends rich parents round on christmas day, they are all in the living room except Denise and Barbara, they are out of focus in the kitchen trying on the nice leather coat that Valerie has worn to visit! utter genius

While we are on something of a roll with Peter Sellers, this short clip deserves an airing.
Perfect comedy.

The Pink Panther is a rich vein. This is the scene that always sticks in my mind... Have to say I'm having some good laughs with these clips, priceless. Same here. A nice antidote thread to some of the more serious stuff on the board. We all need a laugh every now and then.

Brilliant... Three things from that clip... 1) Lovely link to the opening video in this thread... Some humour is timeless 2) Norman can actually play football! 3) “where’s your banjo?” Oh dear... some humour doesn’t age well!

His first goal was better than Maradona's against England.
