Not a fan of Piers Moron but his rant about the NTAs this morning was spot on. The same ones winning year after year. Boring, predictable and pointless.

It's not that surprising really. It's an open public vote and MBB has the broadest appeal. Also fans of MBB are far more likely to vote in contests like this than fans of Fleabag or Afterlife. That’s democracy, as we are all too aware, people often get it drastically wrong

Oh wait, he didn’t win the democratic (small d) vote either.

I like Mrs Brown boys. I have watched a couple of episodes of Fleabag and found neither funny or very good. Not seen After life so will have to get onto it.

What is the best comedy we can offer................... Mrs Brown’s Boys, that’s what. Apparently it’s the finest comedy we now have to offer the world: a drag artist spitting F-words while a crowd of extras mutter ‘Yes Mammy’ and ‘No Mammy’. it’s bloody awful and after half an episode have never watched it apart from the trailers when new series appears. Whatever happened to the likes of Fawlty Towers, Only Fools, Vicar of Dibley, It Ain’t Half Hot Mum, Dads Army, Porridge Auf Weidersehen Pet and many more that made you laugh. As for Ant & Dec they are the most annoying pair of tits ever to adorn the TV screen. Real switch off bait in my opinion.

There's some good alternative comedy out there- Vic and Bob, Matt Berry, Boosh, Mitchell and Webb, but even that's not brand new now. Whatever happened to sketch shows? I don't think Little Britain would get approved these days.

Faulty Towers stopped after two series because John Cleese decided it had peaked and that further episodes would not be as good.
It’s a shame the folks at the BBC don’t learn from their history.

It's widely reported that Mrs Brown's Boys is very popular amongst the autistic community.
I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions from that particular piece of information.

I doubt the BBC would get away with re runs of Fawlty Towers. It is too politically incorrect - Though in the Spanish version of it, Manuel was Portuguese.
