Probably the least popular but boldest of MON's calls.
20 million quid of 'talent' out on loan.
We seem to be doing okay without them so far, but is that despite their departure or are they, in short, a couple of wasters?

It's about the team not the individual. MON has proven that to date....

It’s despite.
It’d be a tough argument to make out they were the reason we were in the shit.
They wanted to go though and the manager clearly wants to foster a closer group. As disappointed as I was to see them go, it’s proven to be the right call 100%.

Is fantastic because the pair of users didn't want to be here and we were losing most games with them playing, good riddance

Mercenaries, unfortunately, not prepared to see it through the rough times, no heart for the club.

I suspect they were both in the higher earning bracket on the wage bill as well.

O'neil has got the most from Allen and Etebo and even Cousins, you've got to think he could have done the same for them. They could have knuckled down and got a much better move. No ill feelings for them at all.

Most players in the squad will do the same if they get better offers. They won’t be getting better money at their current clubs than they were here so ‘mercenaries’ is wide of the mark.

Well, Mick clearly sussed out they didn't want to be here and quickly sorted it out and removed them. No point having high earners here if they don't want to play.

Can't argue with the actions but the way it was handled is and will remain a black mark against him.

Smaller squad, but we are 2 injuries away from it being a problem There’s always one isn’t their 10 points out of 12 and you’ll moan. We’ve signed a midfielder that admittedly I know nothing about but maybe given the chance it’ll be the making of him Fuck off with your negativity. They did fuck all to the last 18 months

You know what I mean. They don't want to play for an unfashionable club potentially in the doldrums and I can understand that but hey, its the lack of respect thats gets me. Couldn't wait to jump ship.

Etebo himself kicked off when he wasn’t playing so it wasn’t like he was downing tools.

One Johnny Foreigner in the team today says a lot about the direction we’re going in with O’Neill for me.

I think first and foremost he wants players who want to plat due the club and see their future here. At least till the end of the season.
In that sense it was a no brainer for him. Hard to develop a team spirit when you have key players angling for moves.

In MON we trust. No need for the negativity. It was a blow that Campbell didn’t play and we still won

I really don’t see this supposed lack of respect. Both of them gave their all when they played earlier in the season. The fact is that players are not fans of the club they play for 99% of the time.
