He had a great performance against a really tricky opponent. No doubt Sheikh will stay away from this thread, the know-nothing never has a good word to say about him.
Personally, I think he's been solid since he's come back into the first team. I do think Edwards would've struggled against him today.

I thought he was really good there, seems to be improving with regular first team football. Who would have thought that would happen?

Read the game brilliantly today. Lost count of how many passes he intercepted.

The whole defence was great.
Brewster never got a kick.

He was another player suffering from confidence issues due to poor management.
He'll get better.

His crossing still wasn’t the best, though his ball for Clucas was reasonable. However, how many times did he make an interception and then start a forward move going? He was very good today.

Second half was absolutely superb. Pretty much everything good came from his side and interceptions. Finally clicked with Ince too.

Yes outstanding against a tricky winger. To be fair, the whole defence and the team’s defensive shape were both excellent. And the work rate from everyone was really impressive

Spent the first 20 having his blood twisted but very good after that. If he played like that every week there wouldn’t be any ‘haters’.

His best game for us, him and Edwards are both guilty of taking the pass back option. It looks like the get it forward quicker message fron o Neil is sinking in with the players thank god. Smith was superb in the 2nd half, my man of the match 👏

Fell asleep defensively once, and put a poor cross over in a great position. Other than that he was superb, against a very talented player in their number 10 (not sure who he was?)

I thought the number 33 Gallagher I think his name was looked decent . They were very easy on the eye but had no punch. We certainly created the better chances. Thought Smith was excellent today.
