Always wondered how these top strikers would cope playing in this stoke team. We have a way of turning any striker's career to shit and no matter what manager we have, we consistently seem to play in a manner that gives our strikers absolutely no service. Haven't had a 20 goal striker since Thorne in 2000 which says it all really. Would be a really interesting experiment to see if Haaland could reach 20 goals in this Stoke team with this manager. I don't think it would be as nailed on as you'd think.

He’s exactly what they need. He's exactly what every team needs. Well yeah but if it was say Mane, it’d be a bit of a puzzler because they have Foden, Silva etc but the only position they desperately need is a striker.

If they add Haaland to what is already one of the best teams that football has ever seen then I think it would be incredibly difficult for any other team to win anything for a couple of years.

I'm quite pleased that he's going to Man City, if indeed he does end up there.
A few reasons - first, they're a good team to watch and I don't mind one team being dominant provided they play football that is pleasing on the eye, and they do. Those two games last season against PSG were fantastic.
Second, he's obviously the kind of No 9 that Man City don't have and his inclusion can only add a dimension that has been missing so far. That could make them almost unplayable.
Third, I'm looking forward to seeing him play in England. He seems like a very good fit for our kind of football, big, strong, quick etc.
Fourth, I'm glad he hasn't chosen to go to Barca or RM and I hope that's a sign of their money troubles.
Fifth, it'll piss off Man Utd and Liverpool, which is funny.
Sixth, it'll have absolutely zero impact on us, probably for the entire time he's at Man City. Even if we draw them in a cup, he's unlikely to play!
All in all, I hope it happens.

Maybe they’ll finally put out and loan us Delap then If Rory has any sense he'll tell Liam to stay well away from us. We're the death knell for any striker's career. No striker comes to Stoke and leaves with a better reputation than before they arrive. I honestly believe even Haaland would struggle to get more than 15 goals in this team such is the way we consistently play and the effect it has on our strikers.

Fox in the Hen House, especially with the other personnel they have. Get your jumping shoes on Pep.
