A class above everyone else in our team. He must despair of our defending. Indeed head in hands after one of their goals I saw that today too. He probably put more effort and pride in today than a few in defence put together.

Definitely thought he was motm today. Caused the og for the first goal and put Campbell through for build up to second. Numerous great touches to completey wrong foot the opposition especially that drag back second half. He also got back and helped out well including winning a lot of defensive headers from their throw ins and corners.

Absolute class again today. In amongst the dross we have put up with last few years. Anyone who cant see what he brings needs a reality check.
Class player in a team MON builds he will look even better

He is a breath of fresh air in a time where there is no nzonzi, fuller or Arnie. He's as good as he wants to be and I'm excited. He's one of the best footballers in the championship. In my book. An absolute crowd favourite

Agree with everything about Powell today, excellent display but really think his best position is as an attacking midfielder, through the middle not on the left. But if the manager disagrees with me,then fair enough,I will go with him.

I don’t think that he disagrees, I just think we have no one else to play left mid after 2 injuries in one game. When coupled with back to back losses, we needed to go back to basics against a team in good form. We were less adventurous, but it worked. I imagine we will see a similar set up for a while, until (if) we start pulling clear of the relegation zone or McClean gets fit again.

My mate is a tattoo artist and he reckons Powell was in this morning to get 'I h8 Stoke' on his arm.

Shows how good a player he is that he can turn his hand to the role he was given yesterday quite easily. Such a talented player. Could play anywhere across the front line or in midfield.

Does the second yesterday count as yet another assist?

Brilliant again in a position he's obviously not ideally suited to, definitely a MOM contender yet again.
Looked pretty knackered late on but that's hardly surprising, he put a proper shift in.

Does the second yesterday count as yet another assist? Yes, but it is an assist for Campbell not Powell, as Campbell was the player who played it to Allen who scored.

He has everything in his locker, physicallity, workrate, vision and class. Fast becoming my favourite player. Also he is a real windup merchant (in the SJW mould) and great at getting under the opposition's skin.

Very good performance yesterday. He's shown flashes of individual quality and now he's starting to look like a bit more of a team player. He might yet win me over.

Does his contract actually expire 2021? Was just looking on Transfermarkt and noticed it. Thinking about it, I dont actually remember if the club ever told us how long his contract was

I don't think anyone can say he is not a good player. Maybe MON getting a better attitude. He has the ammunition to be a top player. Well done lad.

He’s steadily showed since MON arrived the quality he has and the unerring time he always seems to find when in possession. Can open defences with the simplest of passes, not afraid to tackle back and do the dirty work.
The way he sold Adomah out of play in the second half yesterday was just pure filth. Bring on next season when we should be looking at the other end of the table.

Love watching him, the touches of class he produces are a shining light in an otherwise general sea of dross from a creativity perspective.
He’s a hard working tough bastard too, and hopefully he’ll stay fit

He's got great technical skill, strong, and displays an arrogance which I love. Remind you of anyone ? ---- Yes he is my new Arnie ! Not quite so good, but then who is.

Its nice to see a thread where everyone is actually praising a technical player at Stoke.
There are normally a few whingers saying he doesnt work hard. Im sure there must be some lurking and waiting for Powell to have a poor game so they can demand Jordan Cousins takes his place!

The second he has another bad game they’ll be out in force again, believe me.

Does the second yesterday count as yet another assist? Pre-assist, which is a really valuable metric for creativity. Often assists don’t actually get credited to the player who initiated the goal, case in point, Powell’s ball v West Brom to release Ince.
