Adding on to the popular players who have scored for and against Stoke, here's another one to keep us occupied - Stoke City goal scorers of the 2000's.
> If no scorer - say "None"; > Own goals just OG - be a bit too much to expect to remember oppo player. Added in to lagwafis' effort as a starter.; > extra internet points for listing goals in the right order too.
2000/01 - Another season of reaching the play-offs, this time with a semi-final defeat by Walsall. Millwall, Rotherham and Walsall (PO) promoted; Bristol Rovers, Luton, Swansea and Oxford Utd relegated. We benefited from 5 OG's in the league.
Dumped out of the FA Cup by Nuneaton, and the League Cup with an 8-0 thrashing by Liverpool. Shout out to that Thordarson goal against Charlton in the 2nd Round. To end the misery with the knockouts from this season, Vale dumped us out of the League Trophy.

I’m guessing Thorne holds the record for most stoke hatricks ?
What a player! One of my all time favourites, for a time there he was a goal machine, oh how we could do with him now!

Hat Trick Record for Stoke City ? It’s got got to be Freddie Steele, sure he scored 4/5 in one season.

Didnt Thorne get a hat trick away at Bristol city too? Not this season no (not checked others just yet...). Quite odd that we played Bristol City and Rovers away within three days. Will give a slight clue for the Bristol City (A)...Thorne didn't score at all - need two different players.

Jacobsen got the fifth against Chesterfield after Thorne's 4th.
Lightbourne and Kavanagh scored away at Bristol City when we drew 2-2, about a month before we played them at Wembley.
Blackpool at home in March was 3-0 - pretty sure it was Gunnarsson or Gudjonsson's first goal for the club with either O'Connor or Mohan getting one as well.
Colchester away we lost 0-1 late on after a howler from Ward / Gislason?
Can't remember the Luton or Cambridge matches

Blackpool was, in order, Gunnarson, Mohan, Gudjonsson. Excellent memory on this one! set the bar for future seasons. will get 2000/01 up shortly.
