Alan Smith “If Villa defend any deeper they’ll be behind their own goal”.
He’s a knob, but that made me chuckle.

I'm sat amongst em, making a guest appearance as taking my nephew for my bro whose working today. It's great watching a live game as a neutral without the stress & nerves.. Although haunting memories of how poor we were against these type of teams in our relegation season! Despite the opposition Villa are so poor considering the amount of money they spent in the summer..
The atmosphere was toxic after they went a goal down but they're in that past caring stage now where it's easier to sing about old players & past glories!
Its matches like this you can see the gulf in class between the top teams & the rest, it's like Man C have got 2x extra players on the pitch the space & passes they find..
Oh and yeah, VAR's a weird experience to sit through, definitely changes game dynamics! That's something I'm not bothered we dont have in the Champo!

Personally I think he's shite, looked good at Brentford because of how well run they are and got Villa promoted because of Graelish.

Think most are in favour of keeping him & quite like him (for the time being anyway!) but there were a few Villa fans on Five Live I heard on the way back north that were saying he needs to go. He always comes across abit smarmy to me, & sure think he got lucky with getting Villa promoted last season, alot of things sure went in their favour in the second half of the season, especially in the 2x legged play off games v WBA..

That's definitely the feeling I had going on watching this game as a neutral today. Although it was only the last season or so before our relegation that we turned up expecting & generally getting tonkings off the Premier League's elite.. Prior to that, remember we'd give any team a run for their money & victories against Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs & Everton whilst weren't to be expected, were always a possibility. Unless Villa can bring a couple of decent January signings in, really think they'll be the third team to join Norwich & Bournemouth in the bottom three come May. With McGinn, Heaton & Wesley being long term casualties unless another team freefalls rapidly (poss Brighton or Burnley?) then cant see Villa getting enough wins to pull them clear.

I hope Villa stay up- like us they are in a 5 horse race; I think Norwich are gone,I want Bournemouth to drop and then I think it’s one from Villa , Watford and Burnley.

To be honest I can't see us getting out of the bottom 3 now and in 4 hours yesterday our half decent goal difference was wiped out with our - 5 and Watford +3 and most worryingly the bulk of our support seems to have accepted we are going down, the arguing between fans has started and although not toxic yet it won't be long coming I said on here within 24 hours of returning from Wembley I'd settle for 17th well now I wouldn't settle for it, I'd snap your arm off for it!
