I doubt Gregory has much value but for us to be pushing him a move after only 6 months here suggests he commands a decent enough wage which should hold some value.
I guess we will get a small fee or he will move for nothing purely to remove him from the wage bill.
What are we thinking? £25k a week?
I would want £2m or so for him and I think that would be fair.

MON seems like a pretty ruthless operator behind that charm of the blarney stone facade. The much vaunted clear out is at last happening it would seem, albeit largely driven by loan deals. Why, who have we sold?! Offloaded Woods on loan

SLP are on about us letting Gregory out on loan now. Fuck me how desperate are we to get people out?

We should not let any of our players go to any relegation rivals it would be madness!unless one came in for Ince.

The youth player? It is a fact yes but I meant actual squad players or god forbid an actual first teamer He was a squad player since last season. He just never played a minute for us.

I was told we released him. Big mistake as he's already achieved what our current forwards fail to: a goal a game ratio. None more spectacularly so than Gregory!

We went to pieces a bit in the first half when he came on. He put in a hell of a shift second half mind.

He’s a very limited player but again like the rest he put a tremendous shift in and played a huge part in that win.
MON isn’t daft, he can see we need better but if we win games like that I’ll be happy

If Campbell had stayed on we would be saying the same. We made hard work of it because the midfield stopped and the quality out balls stopped. They also closed down Powell and we were resorting to hoofing the ball out, often aimlessly.
Some of the balls weren't even fight balls.
Gregory had a hard job and made the best of what he had.

Ironic really but we won when Clucas - McClean, probably our seasons best performers were almost anonymous.

It sums up the clubs recruitment when it is impossible to put our £8M striker on instead of Gregory because he can't run!

www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-moore-gregory-transfer-17610500Lee Gregory is another player who has been mooted as a potential transfer target for Cardiff. That feels like a safer option. The Stoke City striker consistently notched double figures under Neil Harris at Millwall, both at Championship and League One level, however he has failed to really hit the ground running for the Potters. It is understood City are yet to make contact with Stoke over Gregory, but a deal has not been categorically ruled out. He knows Harris well and has proven he can slot seamlessly into his style of football, but is he the type of signing that's going to propel this Cardiff City side into top echelons of the table? Debatable.

Debatable. Sadly for us he's really lacking in confidence at the moment which is a shame especially as he has done well in this league previously I remember his interview after one game, where he could not hide his disappointment that we had not gained 3 points - looked close to tears He doesn't suit the role of loan striker but does an incredible amount of work, often unnoticed, around the pitch, a typical example was at West Brom If we lose Campbell, although a very different type of player, I think we should keep him for the immediate future unless / until we have an upgrade signed

Conversely, I like Gregory. I think he’s a clever footballer but only suited in a front two or with expansive attacking attacking midfield which we just don’t have. Never going to be prolific so would let him go and work for a manager that can use him in a system that suits best.

Just a stand because I can’t fault his effort but sadly that’s not going to win many games.

As much as I admire Gregory's tenacity and work rate, he is a terrible finisher. I wouldn't lose sleep if he became surplus to requirements and was moved on.
