It's not so much them chesting the ball down as the ability to make that decision in a split second and having the ability to control it sufficiently and then look up and decide where to pass it, often with players closing the gap. They have been programmed to head it back into the centre most of the time to minimise the risk. Most of the players we have attracted, and are likely to attract, wont have that kind of composure as they will be playing at a higher level because of their ability to do just that. Potentially Collins/Souttar may possess more of these sort of attributes given the way football has changed in their formative years. 118 words can be condensed into 3 words: Just twat it !

"I've never been convinced a lot of our fans actually understand football" Absolutely priceless from the boards all knowing self appointed doyen of football. I've always said we have one of the.most thickest football fans. I said the same when hughes came in. Sometimes to keep possession you have to go sideways pr backwards before you can then play the forward pass. Yesterday we were keeping ball well then we had to pass sideways because the wide player was blocked off. Straight away the groans went up. The only set of fans that are as football thick as ours are Everton. Theirs are the same. "I've always said we have one of the.most thickest football fans." Proving your own point beautifully there
