Genuinely shocked and saddened by this news. Didn't know him personally, but always came across as a real good bloke on here and we seemed to share the same opinion on most things Stoke. RIP Tricky, you will be sorely missed by myself and many others mate Couldn't have put it better myself - I'm massively shocked and deeply saddened. He was always a great poster, one of the very best, and we had many fun exchanges on EE. RIP Trix, and deepest condolences to all your family. You'll be hugely missed. Murph x Yep. Its really upset me, I'll be honest.

Shocked and saddened by this news...and truly gutted! He was one of my favourite posters on here. I loved his sense of humour. RIP Tricky...and thanks for all the ‘likes’ you gave me, most of them undeserved ...You’ll be sadly missed, mate. Condolences to his family and friends.

Absolutely shocked. Gutted. RIP friend. Condolences to the family. I always associated you and he on the EE board, bjr. Whenever I scanned a politics thread and saw a measured, rational contribution (even if I didn’t necessarily agree), I knew that 9 times out of ten it would be you or him. 😞

Not ashamed to say I'm crying reading this thread. Like many on here I never met Tricky in person but it really does feel like I've lost a good mate. Absolutely gutted. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, I can't even imagine what they must be feeling. God bless you Richard. I hope Banksy was there to greet you xx

Whenever I scanned a politics thread and saw a measured, rational contribution (even if I didn’t necessarily agree), I knew that 9 times out of ten it would be you or him. 😞 Thanks Potter. Like all of us I am in shock, nothing that I thought could happen through a message board friendship. I only knew Richard, like most of us, through the EE board but we did exchange quite a few DMs. I would call him a friend. Tricky had a knack of saying/ " arguing" exactly what he thought, sometimes with people who were Politically totally opposite to him,..and yet did it in such a way that showed that he valued his opponent.....as a friend. I don't know how he did that! Never abusive, never tried to boost his own ego. Just genuine. I think that the comments on this tribute show how much he was liked. It just reminds me of all those truths that we all know.... don't take things/ people for granted.Get things in perspective. You don't know what you have got until its gone. RIP Tricky

RIP Tricky☹
Just read how this happened and it's so, so sad.
I tend not to post but just read threads and, yes, Tricky always had value in his input and held my attention when he posted.
Clearly a lovely bloke.
Condolences to his family and friends.

Ah shit this is sad news to wake up to.
Trickydicky was one of the posters I saw eye to eye with the most. As narcissistic as this is to notice, he was one of the most frequent “likers” of my posts, both on the main and the EE boards, and I had a great deal of time for his posts and views too.
I didn’t know the guy in real life but he will be sadly missed from this board.
RIP bud.

Went through Hanley High with Rich, same class, shared a passion for Stoke that never (hardly ever) waned. We used to go down the match together, walking there and back from Bucknall, from the age of 13 or 14. Good times, fond memories.
Rest in Peace mate x

RIP Rich
I only knew him from here same as many but he seemed a genuine top bloke.
Whether we stay up or go down really isn't a massive issue in the greater scheme of things is it ?

Makes the journey to the match a little bit different today hopefully it will be a result for him but knowing stoke it probably won’t be. But from Trickys posts on here he wouldn’t be surprised or shocked if we got a pasting. Either way when I raise a pint in a little there will be a nod and a farewell to a member of my Stoke family because when It comes to fellow Stokies I do like us and I do care. When it comes to the end hopefully we will be all standing together on a heavenly boothen end at 3pm on a Saturday watching a stoke dream team smash the vale for infinity. RIP and VIS UNITA FORTIOR for the rest of us
