Villa playing without a recognised striker in their League Cup semi-final tonight.
Surely they'd have been better of recalling Hogan and playing him.

He’s Got 18 months left on his contract. He’ll be loaned out until it ends - he’s their equivalent of Imbula or Wimmer.

Hogan's not awful but he's just average for what we need him to do. He should never ever have been signed while we had Campbell and the number of strikers we already had. Another transfer highlighting our lack of strategic planning and lack of a DoF.

He'll do well up there, he's a good finisher, give him chances and he'll score goals

Not really sure why the negativity towards Hogan. Scored a few goals and didn’t play a hell of a lot. In fact I thought him and Gregory were quite good together earlier in the season

Complete non-starter otherwise.

In the process of a move I guess, I do feel bad for him he had a promising career and I do think he can finish but this really isn't the generation to be a partner striker.

If we lose Tyrese and can't bring anyone else in we're going to need him out of necessity.

In his column, he said there's a dilemma about whether to let him go to a team in Championship relegation trouble. We should have more than enough confidence in our own ability to survive without worrying about Scott Hogan firing half a dozen goals in for Huddersfield.
