Surely he's ready to stake a claim in this defence now?

Surely he's ready to stake a claim in this defence now? If we assume the manager knows he is doing Collins must be seriously underwhelming in training.

Baath and Lindsay give me nightmares, Heading wise both are decent at this level but ball at feet, awareness and positionaly they are horrible. They need to have some composure, at times Baath just kicked it sideways for a throw when he could have chested it and passed, as for hoofing it for no reason into no mans land..............!!

It’s got to be a concern over mental toughness right? He’s so young for a cb to get into a team and he will be playing in it alongside Danny Batth in a squad struggling for form and in a relegation fight. What’s he going to learn in that period and will it actually hinder him? He needs Ryan to get fit and moved into the team then.

Maybe if Ryan was fit, Collins could be slowly introduced to play alongside him. Until then, it’s a baptism of fire.

I’d give him a run of games now, he’s steady but needs minutes

Did enough to deserve a start ahead of Lindsay. Tough to pick between Lindsay and Batth with who to drop though.

Love the lads confidence. He isn’t afraid to bollock players and try and organise the team. Coached right he will become a bloody good player. He needs to play alongside Ryan

We have 5 already. The squad needs to be chopped, not added to. If we sell 1 of the 5 then get Souttar back. A left back is about the only player I would like to see. If Allen goes then a CM also.

But he looked confident on the ball, has leadership qualities which was great to see and I just get the feeling he’s a player that loves a tussle. Obviously loads to learn but he’s got all the tools to become very good I’d say

Batth is rubbish bruno cannot really be bothered and probably is and should be going this window, would like see them both go and another come in also puts collins closer to the first team as well,,left back is an absolute must but yeh if we do not shift a shed load of players maybe thats all we will see

Him and Ngoy only positives from today Thought Powell did ok as well. Certainly worked his bollocks off and tried to be brave on the ball at times. I hope we persevere a while longer... can see him having a big impact in the next few months. Fingers crossed no more inj... don't say it.

Both are absolutely dreadful and you can make an argument for dropping both of them. For me, Lindsay just has the edge as I think he makes more mistakes and he's more rash. Very tight though because they're both an abomination.

In the 92nd minute we had a corner and fucked up as usual and they broke. Powell was the one busting a gut to get back. He also go stuck in a bit when moved deeper. You can see he has time when on the ball. Collins also has this quality.

Lindsey cant tackle, can't run, can't head the ball, and if I see one more of his hoofs forward land 60 yards in front of our forward or go out of play again Im personally going to hunt him down and take a shit on his wife

Starts with Lindsay until Ryan is fit, then he plays with Ryan. Second best defender at the club for me.
Batth is just wank. His redeeming quality of being good off the ball has come to shite this season.
Lindsay's got a disaster in him no doubt but atleast he's alright on the ball. Batth just kicks it straight out of play.

Seems to me a fit Ryan with Collins would be ideal. Keep the others as back up.

His first 5 yards are very, very slow imo. Struggles getting turned. Limited viewings of him to be honest though.
I'd rather chance my arm with Lindsay/Collins alongside Shawcross than batth though
