Is any of this true or just Transfer Deadline Day clickbait?
I'm very dubious.

Is any of this true or just Transfer Deadline Day clickbait? I'm very dubious. They are proving themselves, to a degree, with a decent hit rate of stories that seem to have some truth to them concerning teams that most of the media don't give a toss about But this one smells like bullshit.

You've got to ask, how much is a player like Campbell worth to us? Yes, he's still relatively unproven. But how many more youth prospects will we have to nurture for years before we turn out somebody as promising? How many millions would we have to pay out in transfer gambles to find some body who can score at nearly goal-a-game rates?
If we accepted something like £10m we could easily spend, what, £20m, £30m or £40m over the next few years trying to find ourselves a new striker? And, even then, nothings's guaranteed. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.

15-20 million and he will be gone I don’t think he would to be honest. Can’t see the club signing him up for another 4 years only to go and sell him to the first club that comes sniffing, especially Bournemouth. They are in a relegation battle themselves and are not guaranteed Prem football next year. It would have to be something really special to let him go.

If United up their bid to £30M for King and Bmouth up their bid to £15M for Campbell, would we go back for a £5M+ bid for Cosgrove?

Wonder if he has a minimum fee release clause for a prem club in his contract.
20m let him go if it's going to be reinvested

I'm sure we're all happy as Larry that he's signed up but let's not carried away. He's no Alan Shearer, van Persie, or roddie fowler. (yet' hopeful).
So as it seems he starts today let's not get carried away as expect miracles straight away, the lad is still learning big time, in fact I wouldn't be suprised he starts on the bench.

He didn't get the headlines this time but the quality of his play when he drops in to the gaps is really improving and I thought his performance today was again oozing in genuine quality.
He moved around on to the flank and set up a fantastic chance that Ince squandered, then later dropped deep to orchestrate the move that finished the game as a contest.
Looking better with each game under O'Neill, we have a serious talent here.
I was worried about him early this season, O'Neill has made a huge difference to his overall learning.

His best game so far for us I thought today. Showed strength and a maturity that we hadn't seen as yet. He will be one hell of a player if he stays grounded.

Only negative for me today was a few misplaced passes he did when he had players making good runs either side.
But he's been brilliant under MO'N. Him and Powell have come in and saved us if we're being honest.
