Just hope this is a joke - but wouldn't put it past our useless CEO and the previous manager. We should have secured his signature in the summer, yes, he's raw, but look how much he's developed this season even though he's had limited minutes. He should have been a regular from the start of this season.

The 400k fee is not set by Stoke if he signs for a club not in the English structure....they have no choice
If he signs for a club in the English structure the price will not be 400k

It was £750,000 + extra for certain amount of performances + extra for a full England cap I think, upto a max of £1.75 million

Bought for 1.75 million Going to Scotland for 400 Thousand apparently Im sure that this is just what the Campbell family, father and Son, are hoping for. A move to a new country where there is no racism, bigotry, prejudice or sectarianism, and most games are just a casual stroll without need for stamina and effort.

Amazing- 14 months of Ince shit and you still get people defending him. Campbell gives away a free kick ( which Ince wouldn’t do as he’d be strolling around out of the way somewhere), has scored 4 league goals to Ince’s 1 despite playing substantially less minutes, yet we go on about “ he hasn’t proved anything”. Given the choice of offering an improved contract and perhaps “guaranteeing” game time to a youngster who at least has the ability to beat a man and shoot on target, or continuing to pick and defend the one paced, one trick pony that Ince has been since December 2018 really shouldn’t take much thinking about. apart from Bayern is anyone defending Ince? There are quite a few who see his performances as being down to a lack of confidence, or the fact that he’d be much better in a team of superstars as we all would !

Our one hope might be that he does seem to be mates with a lot of the other young lads, him and Thibaud seem thick as thieves on Instagram which is another reason it's good news he's back from the loan spell. I expect we might be seeing a lot of both of them in the coming weeks, I don't expect him to sign a contract particularly quickly he'd be daft not to sound out offers and I hope ours is a good one.

www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/tyrese-campbell-transfer-latest-celtic-21250000Celtic and Rangers have both informed Stoke City of their intention to hold pre-contract talks with Tyrese Campbell. The Glasgow giants have been in contact with the Championship side to tell them that they plan to talk to their England under-20 striker. Campbell is out of contract in the summer and can move cross border for around £400,000 in training compensation. A number of English Premier League clubs, including Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Wolves, are also keen but they would have to spend significantly more in terms of a transfer fee. Stoke paid around £1.75 million to sign Campbell from Manchester City back in 2016 but will only recoup a fraction of that if he moves outside of England. O’Neill is aware of the growing interest in Campbell, including from Rangers and Celtic, and sat him down earlier this week in an attempt to keep him at the Potteries. He now faces an anxious wait over the next week or so before his in-demand striker makes a decision on his future. If he does decide to move on then Stoke are likely to want to sell in this window to try and maximise their money.

I love Glasgow but if his Dad is sensitive about his son getting racist abuse, neither of these clubs are suited to him.

Is it certain either of them would play him more or pay him more?
They could obviously give him a nice signing-on fee if he moves for a small fee.
But it is opening up for him to get a run here now

Is it certain either of them would play him more or pay him more? No. But both are certain to win trophies and can offer European football (maybe just a couple of games in July but European football all the same)

If & when players leave us I always prefer it if they go to a foreign country or a different league so there's less chance of them coming back to hurt/haunt us as is often the case from ex player's (Arnie prime eg!). From what I've seen of him I'd be happy if Tyrese stayed with us but if he does head off to pastures new then the Scottish Premier League Is far enough away not to hurt us. Do think he'd flourish up there too, afterall Adam Rooney became prolific at Aberdeen didnt he!

He would be daft to leave now imo, this is his level for now he is only just getting started and o Neil looks a good manager to play for, the doors are opening for him here atm, he might get a move but no saying he will walk into the team l, suit the team and hit the ground running if at all.
If his old man had any sense he would get a decent contract here and see how he does as a big player in this league for us for the rest of this and next season

Under 23 though. So if he goes abroad we get this set cross-border fee of about 400k. If he stays in England, it goes to a tribunal in the same way it did when we signed him from Man City. But the implciaction from the Sentinel article is we're still hopeful of him signing a new deal shortly.

yes but he's under 23 so Stoke are guaranteed a 'development fee' if he goes abroad (which includes Scotland) then that fee is significantly less which is exactly shy Celtic & Rangers would be of interest to him i.e. his signing on fee would be much much bigger than if he signed for another English club

Why would any young decent player want to play in Scotland the only decent Scottish lads play in England because the leagues up there are micky mouse. He is better off in the championship where the games are far more competitive
