Couldn't get a game under O'Neill to begin with, now we're desperate to renew his contract... wouldn't blame him if he left the way he's been treated, anyone could see he was starting to find his feet under Jones, seems to be a recurring theme at this club. Just hope we can finally see scene and do all we can to keep him here.

The club and manager obviously want him to stay, they are not letting him go. In that case they will offer a contract then of what he is worth and sell the vision of the club like signing up ngoy & verlinden too and making it clear this is the direction we are moving forward in. There are no guarantees he will get 1st team football anywhere else so if mon rates him and has him in mind as a big player moving forward then stick.a decent contract on the table, same with the other lads instead of looking for loan deals to progress another teams youngsters that offer no long term benefit to us. No faith in scfc to have a good vision and then implement it

Suppose the best we can hope for is get him to sign and put clauses in it ie monetary amount or premier club comes sniffing we have to let him decide, been done before ie Shaquiri...thats if he doesn't want to sign of course.

I totally agree youth player should be tied up to long deals if they are good enough, but it's real life where agents and Parent's and many more options are out there. Unfortunately we haven't being in a strong position to sell ourselves to these players. I don't doubt the club have opened talks about renewing his contract in the past.

I'm not one slating them,I still think he'll come good,it's certainly no more of a gamble than many other disastrous signings we've made in the past anyway. Campbell has been our major goal threat for sometime now imo ,to sideline him for over 10 games was very short sighted, it's no surprise he's still scoring on a regular basis.

I think they need slating for it tbh. But what I was saying, is that the club have done it with another terrific young prospect and they get slated for it by quite a few people. They can't win

Pacy, strong, direct and a bit tricky, assists and scores. Everything we have been lacking. Young enough to improve with regular football. Cant get a game at scfc

Agents are good at finding those -he had over 2yrs? left of his current deal so it simply wasn't required. Looks like we've let Bursik's run down too

In the short cameo he made he may have scored had he not slipped. Looks to me like he could be handy on the left aswell running forward and cutting in on his right. Then there is the cf role, 6ft tall too. I'd be interested to see what he offers there too. Pace, direct & strength are 3 good attributes for me that warrant closer attention. He will surely only improve playing reguarly? He also takes his man on. We could have some good quality already here if they are given a fair chance to get into it. Ngoy has all the right attributes to be a success, why are we not developing him by playing him to see his full potential

Campbell and his dad holdnall the cards here, it's how much he wants to push to keep the status of no.1 striker at stoke or take a well paid gamble at another club where he will be paid well to be on the bench. For me a 3.5 year deal at stoke would only see him here for another 18 months if he is any good, that way both are winners. We needed to see more of him before throwing a big contract extension, unfortunately it just happens that stoke have had a merry go round of managers who haven't given him the opportunity

If its left to Campbells dad we have no chance of keeping him or getting him to sign a new contract. He has very little respect for Stoke or the way his son has been treated by at least 2 managers.

If Campbell or anyone else wants out, just sell him/them.

Campbell is the closest goal opotunist we have had since James Beattie, but Tye did not particularly shine at Shrewsbury, hence needed to establish manager confidence for Stokes first team.

Its funny how a couple goals change peoples mind about a player who struggles to last 90 min and a fair few games he did nothing, lets not get carried away about Campbell he ain't that special and i know i will get stick but he aint, give him a new contract yes and get him working on his fitness and then see how he goes. He could go to Scotland and do ok but i doubt it.

Its all a little pointless, Kevin wasn't ever going to let him sign a new contract as long as he thought he'd got other people interested.
Unless Scholes made him a stupid offer it will never happen.
