Campbell is in a great position; if he plays and is great then more contracts will be placed on the table and he'll be able to pick who he wants, if he isn't that great then he has Stoke offer to fall back on. So in an odd way I hope he moves on in the summer and we have secured championship football for next year thanks to him. Though I hope he he scores loads and stays He won't get many offers as he's not that good and got wrong attitude, plus his dad. He's like a shit daniel sturridge look where he is now, rotting away in turkey I see a lot of similarities with sturridge...campbells definitely not shit!!! N id hardly say sturridge is rotting, hes just at the wrong end of his career.

Getting Campbell to do the interviews is a clear sign they are trying to get him more involved and make him feel loved.
Just dont let Scholes have a chat with his Dad.

Is it a Stoke thing to have a pathological hatred of players who are barely 20 and are still learning their craft?
Some of the comments on here genuinely baffle me.

The guy is only just starting his career and it's a very promising start. There's a litany of quality strikers in the PL who didn't come good in the lower leagues until the age of 22/23. I don't get the apathy or worse apparent happiness that he could be leaving. If we can't develop someone like Campbell and establish some kind of pathway into the first team, who in the hell are we going to develop?

Absolutely, you get players like Campbell coming through once on a blue moon, natural finisher with pace, no wonder there is interest. We have definitely taken our eye off the ball with this one. Takes significant investment to get a kid like this on the books and to keep them. The fact that we might be selling him for less than we bought him for is gobsmacking considering his development.

Why is his Dad a problem exactly? His Dad is just doing what most Dads do. Stick up for his boy. He's got faith in him and the days of social media that's what you get. Its Free speech. Doesn't make any difference to anyone. It's only a problem if you want to make it into a problem. Being totally over exaggerated, like the 90 minute thing.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Sour grapes for what? The fact a professional footballer can't last 90 mins or the fact him and his dad are a problem the club don't need. He's played the full 90 in his past 2 games and every time he's started (6) this season he's played 60-75 mins up front before being subbed which is totally normal for a centre-forward. This 90 minute thing is a complete non-issue. Lee Gregory has played 90 minutes 7 times this season from 19 starts, that's just slightly above Campbell's 1 in 3 rate for finishing a full 90 minutes after starting. If your main asset is pace and movement, chances are by 75 minutes you're going to be less effective and the manager will change the approach and bring on a different type of forward or fresh legs. It's not like he's Sam Vokes and is just standing there and getting knackered. Incidentally, finishing the full 90 once in every 3 games after starting is Thibaud Verliden's rate with Bolton (4/12). Is his fitness a concern?

I think he'd be daft to go rangers or Celtic. They probably are bigger than us but I don't see how it will progress his career.
He can stay here with us and we'll play him until he signs a contract. Or wait it out and sign for a prem team and then get loaned out next year - we'd be lucky get more than £3m for him and that's nothing to a prem team, we'd have gladly paid that for someone who was never going to play for us.
Personally I think he's got a big future ahead of him. He can finish on instinct and he's working hard, showing real signs of progress. I'd love him to stay.

Has real promise and I'd love us at stoke to bear the fruits of such promise. He took a gamble in leaving city to come to us, let's hope he sees his future with us for a bit longer

Any news on him?

Campbell for me looks a lot better against teams like WBA who are expected to attack when at home. Looked a bit lost to me with plenty of bodies in front of him last game playing on the right

O'Neill has said Campbell felt his hamstring go tight. Doesn't sound like a tear.

Well, it’s a fact that we’ve won every game in the Championship that he’s scored in. Given our current predicament, that’s reason enough to keep him in the side- and he’s exciting to watch.

A minor injury at the back end of the transfer window may well work in our favour for once.
