Bridge, Shamrock, Waterloo, Union, Gamekeeper, Three Tuns, to name but a few in Longton You might be the one to remember the name of pub that was on the corner of Edensor road and Spring Garden road, just around the corner from the Three Tuns? The one and only time I ever wandered in there was in the 80's and rather bizarrely, the only person sitting drinking in there was ex Stoke left back Alex Elder. It shut down shorty after and became a children's nursery.. I'll be buggered if I can recall the name of the place and Google hasn't been much help. It was like a wee cottage with quite a large beer garden in front of it (for the size of the pub). It's bugging the life out of me now Shoestrings

It's not the name I would have known it as but it was enough to help me find that it was originally 'The Edensor Hotel' Apparently it became 'Shoestrings' in the early eighties before going bump as a pub. Was nice to find an old picture of it to compare with Google street view to confirm 100% that this was the place I was thinking of Attachments:
