How is he in the team
Wednesday's second goal is obviously a routine tip over the bar ...for federici, grant , sorro , simo etc
But I would expect the youth team goalie to tip that over the bar
It's straight at him !!
And the first ten minutes? , what was he doing ?? Trying and almost succeeding in contriving an own goal , from the simple business of picking the ball up from the floor , with Danny baath shielding the ball for him , and looking at him as if to say ...' what are you doing mate '

Actually think Jack is starting to get some of his form back, superb initial save yesterday and unlucky with the follow up, also made a brilliant save against Middlesbrough.

Thought he looked more confident me sen. Hopefully having Ryan back in front of him will help him get back to somewhere near the level we know he is capable of.

I've been one of Jacko's biggest critics. There was fuck all he could do with either goal yesterday. His distribution is improving but he does need to be more dominant in his box and his kicking when the ball is laid back to him will be the reason top clubs and England have moved on.

At the game I thought he was at fault for both but seeing the replays I really don’t think he had any chance with either.

Have a day off.
His first save was instinctive, and just because you’ve seen it in slow motion - he didn’t.
Jack is moving back to his old self and needs confidence. Your (frankly bullshit) thread will do nothing for him.
Get behind him and enjoy the win. If you don’t enjoy wins, what are you bothering for?

He still follows Stoke and was at the West Brom game.

‘Routine tip over the bar’ 😂
He was positioned well on his line and did well to get a glove to the initial header, he palmed it upwards and was unlucky that it came back off the bar and fell to one of their players.
Not at fault at all. Get a life.

I was fuming with him in the ground for the second one as I was convinced he could have done better. Looking at the replay I don't think he could we probably should have defended the corner better,

I don't think Butland was at fault for either goal. A player on each post may have prevented both goals. I don't know why we don't do that as for Campbell being at fault he should have been on the centre spot.

Jack needs a move and a fresh start to rebuild his confidence.I would certainly sell him for 10 million if a Norwich or Aston villa came calling again.

Looking at it not sure he could have done much more to top it, the fault was with the marking and slow reactions of our players inside the box.

I should think sitting on United bench was considerably better paid and more comfortable than sitting on the Stoke bench.

Yes his service, he was our player of the season when he stood in for Jack and as many on here are keen to point out didn't deserve to be dropped. He didn't complain though and I'm sure the coaching staff appreciated that. At the age of 38 you can hardly begrudge him the chance of playing for the team he supports. You are right though although being on the bench a few times he only made his debut a few weeks ago in a very young team in an away European match(which I think they lost). However he must be loving being part of the Old Trafford set up. He is a very humble footballer who has been to events at his local non league team in Derby.

My problem with everyone who says re Wednesday's second goal ...it was a point blank header ...it was five yards out
Is ...then why didn't he come for it ?
It's got to the stage now , the opposition know if they put the ball in our six yard box , butland will stay on his line , all day long .
So they put it in our six yard box !
I am sorry but that's not good enough for being Stoke city keeper
Grant , sorro , crossley , Southall , used to come for balls across there six yard box , get hurt , and collect or punch clear the ball
Sooner them , than me , I wouldn't fancy it
But that's what's expected if you want to be goalie for Stoke city
I am sorry but lacking confidence , lacking a bit of bottle , not wanting to get hurt , for every corner ,for every game , isn't good enough

The written and tv press quote an excellent save from Jack for the second. Liam said on radio Stoke it was a good save, where were the defenders?
