Absolute bollocks even if it does help us. Nothing wrong in that celebration at all, just sheer delight at getting the opposition captain.

Absolute bollocks even if it does help us. Nothing wrong in that celebration at all, just sheer delight at getting the opposition captain. The ICC can't be arsed to deal with genuine issues like slow over rates and shite wickets bit get involved with crap like this. Slighty over zealous but that's it.......

Ben Stokes joins IT Botham, N Kapil Dev, JH Kallis, GS Sobers and DL Vettori in the 4,000 run, 125 wicket club.
What a player!

Chaps I've been thinking about watching a tour have any of you been abroad for a tour and any recomendations of where is best. West Indies does appeal but I'd be interested in any alternative options.

You have to love Mark Wood, tries a hideous looking swipe and gets it so so wrong:
"Sorry lads".

Island hopping and doing a WI tour definitely is on my bucket list........

Well that was an entertaining thrash from Mark Wood. Some wonderful clean hitting.
It is going to be tough, but, that extra 50 quick runs makes the follow-on target just that bit more challenging.
Having said that I can't see enough wickets falling to get a result unless the wicket really begins to deteriorate.

Island hopping and doing a WI tour definitely is on my bucket list........ My eldest is now living in Brisbane or Canungra to be exact so there's one I could do with little issue relatively speaking. Although as you say the indies islands are a top draw.

It’s finally starting to look like we’re going to have a pretty decent batting line up for the next few years. We still need to find a number 3 and start picking our best wicket keeper but it’s looking a lot more promising than it was only a few months ago.
Unfortunately it’s come during a period when we’re close to losing our two greatest ever fast bowlers. I think with more experience, Archer will develop into a world class bowler but apart from him there’s not too much to get excited about at the moment.

Same here franklin, I've been thinking about doing one or maybe two of the next Windies tour but looking at the other test playing countries there's only about 3 other possible options that really stand out. My list is Windies - yes and most likely Australia - Yes - might be a tad expensive for my wallet NZ - Yes - same as Oz SA - maybe next time ? India - not for me Pakistan/UAE - not for ne Sri Lanka - maybe Bangladesh - not for me Zimbabwe - not for me Afghanistan - not for me Ireland - not yet

It would be pretty exciting to go into the Ashes in a couple years with a fully fit and in form Archer, Wood and Stone. Highly unlikely that will be the case though.

Bridgetown is about £450 plus. SA is about £350 plus NZ is £800 plus. All dependant on dates etc... Accommodation is the problem although I'm not posh so bed,bog and shower is all I need. Although I do have a son in Oz and friends in NZ. I just need a South African and West Indian relative/friend to leech off now Sub continent is not for me either so I'll give them a miss.

Australia if you haven't seen much of it, I did the whole 3 months of the Ashes we lost 5-0 that Trescothick came back early from amazing. Alot of people go out for melbourne / sydney tests, I didnt have tickets for all days but if you go along to the barmy pubs you can normally pick one up, dont goto Adelaide unless you like churches though

Blimey - blink and you miss it this morning.
4 wickets for 1 run this morning with the new ball; 3 for Broad, 1 for Curran.
Good news is we are going to enforce the follow on with SA 290 in arrears particularly with bad weather forecast for most of today.
Let’s hope we repeat the length discipline when we bowl again.

Great way to wrap up the first innings in rapid time.
Pity about the break for rain but SA are in deep trouble now at 35-2. Possibly only the weather can save them but it's looking good for what is a rampant England team right now - well on top in the series now.
Edit 44-3 at tea - Malan out for 12 from 79 balls !
