FC United and AFC Wimbledon especially were very righteous causes. An AFC Stoke wouldn’t get very far because it would be run by a bunch of spineless donuts who have abandoned SCFC over a mere few dogshit years. I don’t even think it’d get off the ground. If every club who has a shitty few seasons or a soulless, corporate ownership had a group of fans who started a new club, then 99% of clubs would have a breakaway club.

It was more to have a team run by the fans for the fans rather than the current debacle. Also thought it my me more enjoyable than watching the current crew slug it out in div 1 with the incumbent team

Well if you start at step 10 of the non league pyramid it’s going take you a good 10 seasons to get to football league and that’s if you doing well, it can be done in about 6 or 7 seasons with successive promotions but only AFC Wimbledon have done this.
Not going to happen is it

Jesus Christ. Things are bad enough without having to imagine a world with a club run by some of the fuckwits we have amongst our ranks 😂

5000 people putting 20 quid would give us 100k to work with. We could share with a local team and make progress pretty quickly. At that level 100k would go along way.

I think most people agree that more fan representation/say in decision making is a good thing, but there are plenty of non-league clubs in Staffordshire already.
