I'd be ok with it if they pay a decent loan fee, but last time we loaned badou to them their idiot chairman was moaning all season about having to pay a small fee. So I just expect that they won't pay a fee. If the club let's him go there it will be because the player and his agent are forcing our hand again. But,if it turns out they are paying a fair loan fee, no problems here.
No fee to be paid another fantastic piece of negotiation by Teflon Tony he couldn't run a piss up in a brewery.

It's more the wages it frees up. Keeping a player who doesn't want to be here, who we can't sell and who is costing us big money is the economics of the madhouse.
The economics of the madhouse were put in place when we started signing big time Charlie's and mercenary's for big money on long contracts, nothing wrong with the process though
If they're paying all his wages, though, could still see us save well over £1m
We can only deal with the level of interest there is, not what we'd like, surely?
Its not that though is it
We are struggling to meet FFP requirements because the stupid fuckwit was handing out stupid fucking contract deals and the club let a couple of crap managers spend the warchest on very ordinary players. So now we have shit Turkish clubs dictating to us.

Rotten to the core how is Scholes still in a job ?

Yeah, we're paying for the mistakes of the past.
But hard to see what more we can do this summer in terms of cleaning that mess up
Their agent seems to have an interesting relationship with Galatasaray

Scholes didn’t give Rowett and Jones the assurance they would have a free hand in the transfer market. When he stepped in, Rowett almost walked. Blame is higher up but given that is the people who fund it, it is what it is
we seem to let our players join turkish clubs for peanuts they win titles and trophies with them they must be doing them a good job, but they still are not prepared to buy them. we are a soft touch

He's a director of the Club ! he sorts the contract negotiations out, carries out due diligence, watches each signing 25 times who else do you blame for that, Imbula, Berahino, Wimmer, Etebo, Bruno X2, Woods, Ince, Vokes, Afobe, Bauer all down to managers ? some of these players were signed when we didn't have a manager in place.

We know all that fella. But unless you've invented a time machine we are where we are and repeating it doesn't change anything......

Galatasaray has been going to the same address in recent years: William D'Avila .. Etebo Karo also comes from this channel .. Best wishes.. Note: To the agent, Galatasaray has nearly 10 million euros in debt.
In all honesty are these two clowns really that good?? I don’t see clubs queuing up to sign them. It’ll be a happy day when these two are once and for all off the wage bill.

I am failing to understand these "deals" and I am probably being stupid. Why do we persist in these arrangements with Turkish clubs who have an apparent aversion to, or inability to pay, large fees for players, whilst persistently maintaining an interest in them. Whether it might be players like Imbula, N'Diaye or Etebo, and clubs such as Besiktas, Fenerbache or Galatasaray, the scenario is always much the same.
In the markets everything has a value, and I have always imagined that in this case if you have a talented young player of International pedigree, then he is an asset to the club, and if he fails to settle then he should be moved on again for a fee with money involved. Yet we are apparently back to square one here with the fans, and I am sure the management, left frustrated and angry with the situation.
What is going on if we not only fail to negotiate a transfer fee arrangement but can't even allegedly set up a proper loan fee. Surely the agent must be as angry as anyone if he is not getting a percentage of a fee, unless he is being paid by other means. Also the owners of the club must be seething at this apparent incompetence. Ok if its someone like Imbula, who showed himself to be a complete prat and of little use to anyone, then it can be understood that there are likely to be no takers for a deal, but surely Etebo must have something to offer, and should attract a string of clubs who would take him, especially if we aren't ourselves going to demand a substantial fee of any sort.
Everything of course is rumour and speculation and we may never know the truth about some of these deals, but are we really in such a desperate situation that we seem to have abandoned all the usual principles on which the transfer markets operate?
"...........Stoke City's Nigeria international Oghenekaro Etebo has agreed a deal with Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray.
As at the time of this report, the versatile midfielder was on his way to Istanbul to link up with his new club and confirmed one hundred percent he was joining Galatasaray before boarding his flight. Subject to passing a traditional medical, Etebo will be unveiled as a new player of Galatasaray in the coming days."

"Angry, of Somerset"
You would think so, but apparently not.
Can't help thinking there is more going on than we are privy to.

I agree - no reason to continue them though.
The board of clowns including Teflon Tony have hamstrung this club yet he is still in a very well paid job how ? if he was employed by Bet365 he would have been out on his arse three years ago.

If there is no fee being paid that is a pathetic deal for us. It's a guy who can easily play top flight in any of the big leagues, and if no one wants to pay we should be making use of him What a fucking waste

He does the contract negotiations but his job is to get deals over the line, managers and the head of recruitment in various guises were responsible for approving the players. Badou and Bauer were identified by Hughes and team and Etebo was a target that came available. All were agreed by the football side. Only Bauer could be said not to have been of the required standard. The problem is managers were hired with too much influence over signings

Even if he sulks, moans, under performs and generally undermines the team spirit in the dressing room? It's not that simple to just say "he's a good player we should use him"
And if he is that good, where are the Premier League teams who can afford the transfer fee and wages, they're hardly queuing up are they?
Official negotiations with the Football Player and Club Stoke City FC have started regarding the temporary transfer of Professional Footballer Oghenekaro Peter Etebo to our Club.
Sounds like another loan then, which is better than a free transfer in our current situation. But the fact that we have now added post-premier league players to the bomb squad is absolutely unacceptable!
What was it the club said about learning their lesson or something similar? clearly not, another bad egg signed and taking our clubs for millions!
