We need to save money where ever possible. Staying in the division saves us more money than a 6 month loan. It would and we still need to save money.

I said 168 times on here in the last 10 weeks than no one would buy Badou and the only hope was a loan to a Turkish club without 2 coins to rub together for a permanent transfer fee.

They are out of their depth, desperate and clueless. We have a manager we share with another employer and a CEO that received a raise 155,000 the year we were relegated. I expect MON will go back to managing NI if we get relegated; so, he had nothing to lose by taking a job that nobody else wanted. The board is the only common factor in our three year decline.

Offer Trabzonspor Tony Scholes instead for a nominal fee & rejoice!

I know let’s start saving money by not giving pay rises of 3k per week to a Complete and utter failure CEO.
Absolutely disgusting Coates, what you and your son have done over the past years is shameful. Take what little credit you have and go.

Surely it would be easier to just agree to get rid of jones signings, I’m struggling to find one that has really worked maybe Danny Batth but he hasn’t set the world alight How is that even remotely possible ? They're under contract. Somebody has to want them. They have to want to go

Bloody hell Bayern...badou's record is worse than Allen's. There are more similarities in those 2 than I thought

Yet another thread where basically Scholes caves in to obviously the players demands, Christ I’ll pop in work today insisting that I get a move to sunnier shores, keeping my salary whilst being pampered by the club I’m on loan to with housing/cars etc.
We’re a better side with him in the team so shift other shit, perhaps look in the mirror that’d be a start.
So we let him go play far inferior players, end up in the bottom three playing diabolical football and realistically being relegated, oh hang on that’s exactly what we’re doing but “lessons have been learnt”, after all , what a crock of shit this club is.

Just makes me wonder why the manager had to go round the houses and be economical with the truth, to explain why either player wasn't involved?
They are hardly ground breaking transfers and were pretty much expected so why not just tell the truth?
Why make yourself look daft by complaining about a lack of physicality whilst leaving out your two most physical players?
More importantly, why not just play them and try and get some extra points and if one gets injured then you're only losing out on a loan that won't be made permanent anyway?
All Michael O'Neill has done here is proven beyond any reasonable doubt that he is a yes man.

Add to that you Gregory in the media having a moan that’s three players at the Centre Of our best home performance Fulham and best away Swansea totally excluded. Critically the other players known the new manager change is now the ultimate dead cat bounce in the dressing room while the chief exec counts his extra 155k and chuckles away at another manager in the firing line . We are rotten to the core and while the manager is clueless and out of Hal depth the real the Architecht just got a 20% pay rise

Interesting that after 4 weeks of this golfing on Percy release the story tonight the day of chief exec/S pay increase for relegation .
A cynic could be forgiven for thinking someone leaked a story to relegate another one Down the focus table .

O'Neill's remit is to keep us up against the odds, whilst massively reducing the squad and wage bill in line with FFP and building a new squad to be more competitive next season. Think about that.
It's a hell of a task, and bearing in mind the managers we've been through and the money we've wasted since Hughes I'd say we need to exercise patience. He massively improved Northern Ireland once he moulded the squad into his way of thinking, so needs to be given time to do the same here.
I'm in a place where other than a fit Ryan Shawcross I'd happily see any one of the fuckers leave the club, so if they all go, they go......

At the start of the season Badou was public enemy number one and after a few half decent performances he's our only hope of salvation. It was a surprise he came back and got back in the squad.
I was surprised we hung on to Etebo over the summer, Allen (for all the criticism on here) is a Premiership quality player who always gave us all on the pitch (he'll be the next N'Znozi - slagged off while here and a god when he's gone) and Butland is a quality keeper who could still have an international career who really should have gone in the summer - in fact without his woeful performances at the start of the season we wouldn't have been in the relegation zone.
When we sacked Rowett we were gearing up for a long stint out of the Premiership and the offloading of these players was inevitable - why any of this is such a big deal now is bizarre. All the moaning about our lack of quality is going to look laughable when these players have been replaced.
Is the penny finally going to drop that we're no longer a Premiership club and becoming a competent Championship is now the aim - and an achievement?

If the FFP situation is as bleak as it seems, seems reasonable to try and shift everything that isn't nailed down that other teams may actually see some value in, to give MON some leeway to bring 3-4 of his own cheapo players in - in our case, sadly that only amounts to the handful of players Percy mentions, rather than the lorry load of shite brought in recently
Slightly dispiriting that it always come back to a cheapskate loan to Turkey (probably with no guaranteed sale in the summer) to save £500,000 in wages. This Turkish nonsense is our very own Groundhog Day of shit.
Trabzonspor don't seem to be huge spenders, but attracted Sturridge on a free.
Ndiaye Loan with a view to £4m in the summer (hopefully?) Etebo - £7m (probably optimistic unless there's English interest) Butland £8m? Allen - £8-10m Powell - £2-3m? Indi -£2-3m?
Maybe chuck Woods in as having some market in the Championship too, and being expendable? £3-4m?

I am afraid the chapter of shit we've had won't close until the likes of Winner & Imbula are off our books. We really need to strip down to the bare bones of the squad and come again, hopefully more streamlined and balanced. Like most seem to agree, I wouldn't shed a tear for the majority if they were to depart.
