Had some rather nice Cheshire smokehouse Pastrami passed down.. too celery-ey for the purchaser.. It has got a hint of celery salt but worked rather well with some cheese, tomato and spinach in the breville... The cat's had a bit and so have the axolotls. Saved some for oatcakes on the morrow... Now pondering how to approach the issue for tea... I've ditched the idea of tomato sauce and spaghetti/pasta with it... I'm thinking a fancy corned beef hash type affair with it in... Chayze and beanz... What dust think...?
Be reading me parable parallels of Gideon while yer ruminate...
Red wine chilean merlot washer downer...

I normally just eat it straight out of the packet, to be honest.

Was thinking substitute for beef in a riast dinner with a strong mustard and all the trimmings and a chunky red wine.

Breville was a good first deployment, and has established compatability with tomato and chayze - sorry, I mean cheeese. You can quickly knock up a healthy homemade pizza using Delia's 8oz sr flour: 2oz marg/olive oil plus sufficient water to make a base. I've got some black olives at the far end of the fridge, but they're looking a bit shrivelled to be honest.

I normally just eat it straight out of the packet, to be honest. Yes generally my default... ditto peanut butter... have ideas of cheffing with it... rarely get beyond pigging it... Thought I'd put a bit of effort in.. put it out to consultation... Job's done... it got rosti'd...

Grated tater, carrot, red pepper, a few globs of mozarello and patrami rosties fried in rape. With beanz and a couple of rounds of bread and butter... Red sauce.. {Warbo's meduim}. Nice....

Them shrivelled olives will be fine on your pizza. “far end of the fridge”:Have you got a walk-in!?!

I know Murph... I tried a few types of chicken coating, but it didn't last long I lapsed.. Sesame seeds and cashews are about the limit nutty/seed wise re savoury meals. My pastrami ponderings is/was part of my Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney pie withdrawl plan. Inadvertantly crept up to a three pies a week scenerio. Slipping the odd inbetween meal pie in too... Had to get a grip.. mix things up a bit more...

You’re a tough customer lol, ok go a bit poncey and go almost posh party food and make mini Yorkshire’s with pastrami ticked inside, thick gravy/red wine sauce to dollop on top and some chantennay carrots and small roasties. And mustard and red wine . Lol you know it makes sense

And chantenay carrots and lamp chops and black pudding with a red currant gravy. There were herbs but my limited budget living “up north” precluded the posh bits Murph! Bit of a funny day, we had tix for Reading but Betsys U9 footy team reached a cup semi and for various reasons KO wasn’t til 1230 So by time game finished and we put all kit aWay was too late to get there . On a positive note they won so roll on the cup final next year (only time I’ll say that on this board this year!!)

But I'll mention it anyway. And all of you please tell your kids! Thank you!

Looking forward to Xmas very much, but the post-Xmas diet is calling already I can't believe I'm going to admit this, Tel, but last week Mr Surf was going out to get some new gloves & I asked him to call in somewhere & get some Danish pastries - this is after my managing to resist getting any for about 2 years, despite the permanent longing..... he brought a box of 6 in and it's just as well they were quite small as I ate 5 of them in about 10 minutes before my conscience told me to stick the brakes on...... Don't tell anybody else, though, please, Tel, because you know what they're like on 'ere --- they never let you forget anything!
