Apparently, they've already decided they want a woman leader.
Any party that decides this way cannot be taken seriously.

It's not medical assessments or universal credit that's the fundamental problem it's the way it is administerd when it was done by doctors at assessment centres it was done with a certain level of understanding and Compassion and have never had to have another Unfortunately it is now being done by trained medical personal and I use the term trained loosely When they changed from dla to pip I had another medical and to say it was a different experience was being polite Luckily I was still awarded my current level of care though not through want of her trying All they have to do is go back to using actual GPs or using GPs written advice to make any assessment needed Totalaly agree with that. A And my point is they are all conscious decisions made by the current government, which is just cruel. I don't believe any Government does anything that is intentionally cruel - well, for the most part! The motivation behind Universal Credit was, as I understand it, sound; to simplify the payments system and direct help to where it is needed. But motivation isn't enough. The system has to work. Let's hope with Brexit now finally being "done", Parliament can get back to its primary purpose to scrutinise the executive and ensure policies like UC are examined and fixed as appropriate.

Let's hope with Brexit now finally being "done", Parliament can get back to its primary purpose to scrutinise the executive and ensure policies like UC are examined and fixed as appropriate. The government won't see it as being cruel, they'll see it as being efficient. But when you are sanctioning someone on Universal Credits meaning they have 12 weeks with literally no money, what do they think the outcome will be other than pay day loans, foodbanks, or worst case scenario homelessness? They made the rules, they should be criticised for the outcome......

Ignore the electorate at your peril Yeah - I get the don’t ignore them bit. What he doesn’t realise - same as Stephen Kinnock on QT - is don’t treat them with contempt. Because contempt is what this video shows to anyone who voted Conservative. A bit of respect for people who have a different opinion would be welcome. Whatever the reason for casting your vote, being told repeatedly that you are responsible for putting in power a <insert your preferred insult or insults here> Tory government will not help change minds. Labour would do well toning down the Tory bashing rhetoric for a while and focus more on what they need to do to improve their election prospects. Otherwise they will further alienate the very people they want to attract back to the fold. You've completely missed the point of his video. Everything that you're asking him to do, is exactly what he's actually doing. The whole premise of the video, is not to treat the electorate with contempt and by doing so, Labour and Labour supporters/press have fucked it right up. And of course, the whole thing is a piece of satire, although pretty damn accurate.

Lots of reasons for Labour's disastrous result but at the top of the list was Corbyn himself. My very tribal Labour relatives were canvassing in the Derbyshire North East, Chesterfield and Bolsover constituencies and he was so unpopular on the doorstep that they were resorting to a 'forget the leadership, focus on the policies' strategy. The party's Brexit policy was also a huge mistake - they either needed to sell a customs union style plan strongly or back remaining full heartedly. The middle ground scenario pleased noone and just looked weak. The manifesto was way too scattergun as well. They'd have been better off focusing on some core issues like the NHS, Social Care, Low pay etc. Do we really need a mass of nationalisations right now? It felt like a distraction and something that could be looked at in a second term. Moving forward, the concern now is that Labour pick a female Corbyn clone and carry on like nothing has happened. If they don't connect with the traditional working class, it's game over from the start. Also, the party and it's supporters needs to stop treating Tory voters with absolute disdain. People are entitled to vote however they like, it's down to the Labour Party to convince them they're wrong - ranting and raving is more likely to result in a vote being lost permanently. Spot on.

For a few thumbs ups and likes in the EE echo chamber, or to provoke counter argument and debate? If it was the latter, then I was merely wondering why a people so oppressed haven't lined the streets and welcomed Juan Guaidó into power with open arms, I mean he has the backing of the CIA and the US government, most of the South American leaders, the EU. I just don't understand why he's not in charge yet?

Which Jewish people were bullied John? No idea, some , particularly the women (Luciana Berger?), felt they were and left the party didn't they....but the point of the clip really is how nasty this MP is ....about an issue that the Tories will avoid. They just don't seem to offer anything positive...and the wider public are not really that bothered about their accusations....but Labour just don't get it. www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/10/anyone-but-corbyn-jewish-voters-turn-away-from-labour

But I'll look forward to seeing the report in its entirety.....
