He's currently worth 3.9 Million on the Balance sheet, Will be worth 2.6 Million by the summer. so anything over 3.9m would be classed as profit if we sold him this window? Yup, I'm not aware of any sell on clause.

Revelatory stuff from the cognoscenti, Stoke players playing shit for 2 years. Pretty obvious given our demise and the clowns managing the team.
New manager who knows what he is doing is getting players to play better. Amazing.

He has absolutely improved dramatically since MON came in but I would still sell if the bids get above 10m.
His balloon chasing, gut busting style is all well and good if he can do the basics which isn't always the case. But remove the effort and I'm not sure what Joe can offer. He's 29, realistically what does he have left to be able to put himself about like does? a couple of years?
I would trust our manager to get an adequate replacement as well but this ffp threat bollocks really needs to be put to bed asap.

My main contact at Burnley is adamant that they can't afford his wages and that he would become their highest paid player, by some distance, were he to sign. He reckons there has been interest but wages are the stumbling block rather than any potential transfer fee.

Utter disaster if Allen goes more evidence against the chief executive when we are forced to sell our better players in a relegation scrap due to financial mismanagement or is that it Hajizadeh responsibility either .Its up to Scholes now to hang onto Allen and sign Campbell up .
Interestingly if we went down as result of selling Allen and or Laing Campbell where would people Put the accountability would the chief executive be able to blame this manager like the previous ones .

Avoiding relegation should be the priority

Possibly but I’m sceptical probably the biggest name player in the said leaves and it’s a negative fort he other players . Remember Adams comments about Arnie

If Burnley have bid 11 million that sounds about right to me.
If his wages are too high for them, Allen will probably come to an agreement/compromise I'm sure, it's clear he's desperate to play top flight football again, and he has the summer tournament to think about.

At 11m we are getting into the range where Teflon Tony will be starting to get interested. Unfortunately, it is very likely that those funds would never see the light of day again and we would be fobbed off with Jordan Thompson as his replacement, particularly if it takes a few days more for Burnley and West Ham to bid against each other and up an agreed fee to closer to 15m. We will be told that there was no time or value in the market to buy a replacement and it will be four central midfielders out and only one in.
