God forbid we hold onto our best footballer Don't worry there's been no interest in McClean so we're all good.

Stoke aren’t selling him to cash in jeycov....it’s because they need his wages off the books, the fact he’s currently playing excellent doesn’t influence that The need for him to stay to help avoid relegation and the need to balance the books are two separate issues Absolutely. Considering he's now our best midfielder it would be absolutely ludicrous to sell him whilst relegation is still a possibility Selling Joe at this moment would be the act of a man clinically insane, men in white (Coates) time.

We need to keep allen at least until summer. Hes improved vastly under mon due to the increase in work rate from the rest of the team meaning hes not pulled out all over the place making up for lazy arsed players. With the euros coming up jo will I'm sure be happy to be first on that teamsheet every week.

SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE HIM he's utter shite He’s not really done anything wrong. He’s currently losing a tough battle vs Robson-Kanu, who is one of the better players in the division, but at least he is there to constantly compete and not just allowing him to drift into space. This is a tough game, we need to change the tactics now that Campbell is off as a quick counter just wont happen with anyone else leading the line.

So tired of the "he constantly competes" and "but his work rate" excuses. Those things don't matter when you're an awful footballer. One of the worst passers I've ever seen at stoke. We're relegated to hoofballs because him and Clucas couldn't get the ball to our forwards if their life depended on it.

Outstanding tonight. Did all the horrible stuff brilliantly - pinching the ball & ‘ratting’ all night. Would be much more appreciated if he had a proper playmaker playing alongside him.

he had a nice anticipated steal and pass to Gregory and one other decent pass to Gregory, that doesn't make up for all the toss before that

We've just beat top of the league, yet people still got something moan about. Nothing wrong with Joe Allen poor under Jones but like most improved under o'neill and can't believe people actually want him gone!

A good factor for that was that they never enjoyed gaps in the midfield to run into. We couldn’t keep possession at all today, but each man worked their asses off to cover the pitch, none more so than Allen.

The quality isn’t really there.
But you can’t argue he doesn’t work his bollocks off.
He never stops.

He didn't do that at all in the first half. He was absolutely awful first half like he'd been on a bender. Much improved second half, but nothing better than anyone else. It was a team effort that got us threw with some brilliance from Ince, Campbell and Powell.

Mine is that Allen is our best player for the situation that we are in. I didn’t see any silky smooth passing from WBA in the areas that mattered.

He does nothing well and makes horrible mistakes all the time e.g. his stupid foul right outside the box today.

Great team performance, but Allen & another one who gets a lot of crap on here, Baath, smashed it out there tonight.

Some people honestly must watch a different game than me. I thought he did some good work second half, but his first half performance was atrocious. He constantly gave the ball away, some really sloppy passes behind the man when we're making an effort to counter. Some needless fouls (some good ones too) and a 45 minutes for me which were really, really poor.
People like him because he runs around a lot.

I heavily criticised him in the past but he's been superb under o'neill, unfortunately that performance tonight will probably prompt a bid from a premier league club
