We're now slagging a bloke off for scoring 2 goals. Nobody is slagging him off for scoring goals mate, and I think you know that. He’s getting slated for acting like a bellend.

As mentioned in our little group last night, which made me laugh.
They've earned the shirt but not the shorts. Lol.

The ear cupping does betray a lack of humility but I never thought they had any in the first place!

I am happy with ear cupping if they accept getting told they are shit when they have been shit for a long time.
I would also like to say well done to the away fans at Hull. That much more energised performance was a DIRECT result of what happened on Saturday. Hopefully going forward away fans don't need to do what they did and the players will give the fans something to get behind and then they don't need to give it the ear cup treatment.
A 2 way street and everyone now knows the rules of the game. Not that its a new game of course. The players need to put these invested performances in week after week for the rest of the season and we will all get along a lot better.

Acting like gooners... I suppose it depends whether you feel it's any different to 'shussshhing', or running along the front of the Boothen flipping the bird, or doing a 'wankers' hand gesture. I can see why they do it - I can think of more reasons why they shouldn't. If it's in response to some feeling of a 'lack of support' from the fans, that's a joke isn't it? Have they not got even a tiny bit of self-awareness? The same players who are cupping their ears are pivotal in our current position - we're fucking tripe, and some of these pricks think they're world-beaters. There are ways & means of carrying yourself. Personally, seeing Joe 'Fucking' Allen going all 'big bollocks' after the shite he's served up recently, rankles a bit. Come back, when you've even half-proven you're the Premier League player that you think you are.

Acting like gooners... There nowt precious about it. I just think he acted like a bit of a cunt given the circumstances. Save the ear-cupping for May, Joe. Doing it on the back of one half decent performance against Luton while were still rooted in the bottom three and you’ve been a major part of the problem for 3 or 4 years is just tone deaf.

When McClean cupped his ear it wound me up more than the shit performances I've witnessed all season and I was actually shouting for McClean to just fuck off rather than celebrate the goal. After I settled down I started to see how the emotion of the game got the better of him and many of us in the East Stand and to be fair to McClean when he came over to take a corner 5 or 10 minutes later he did give a sort of an apologetic wave to both the Novus and Marston's stands. I saw that as an acknowledgement that he realised he'd been a bit of a twat so fair play.

They can cup their ears all they want when they win one, at the end of the day they have been in the bottom 3 all season, they have won 5 games all season, they have not been fit to wear the shirt most of the season so when they win let them enjoy themselves and do the ear cupping crap to show the crowd how lucky they are to be in the position that stoke now find themselves, I have a very strong feeling it is going to come back and haunt them very soon....
I think it was all a bit premature from the useless, overpaid, uninterested journeymen, they won at home by three goals in a very unconvincing performance against a shocking Luton Town, yep Luton fucking Town at home and they act like they have just sealed promotion, if history repeats itself they possibly may win the next match but the chances are they will lose yet again the next three, then hopefully as they troop off that pitch after another turgid display they will have the whole ground singing in unison...can you hear us now, your not fit to wear the shirt
5 wins from 21 games played and they cup an ear to fans that have stayed as loyal as them that went hull or turned up in cyclone fucking jeffery....class show boys, class show indeed, idiots.

Cupping your ears to the fans that actually turned up,the true supporters that haven't give up on you, that's the reaction the players give. Don't complain when even more fans can't wait for you to fail, we are supposed to sticking together. The players are the role models here(well should be). Take it on the chin and get on with your job, you get paid enough. Not only that play for your own pride if not the club.

To the players who were acknowledging the fans at the end......Below the belt? No, fully justified. Given what most of our players have done before they are (and were last season) the most under achieving set of shysters in the football league.

But it takes more than a wave which can be interpreted any which way to signify that. Don't forget it wasn't a spontaneous reaction from him. He pushed team mates away just so he could make his phony gesture. No, the sooner he goes the better.
