Really, it's a bit stupid that the Premier League don't just launch their own streaming service and pull the rights from everyone else. The advertisers would pay them directly, they'd keep all subscription money, people all around the world would pay for it and they could broadcast every game.
Surely that has to be the way forward for them.

I am watching this on Amazon. Really disappointing that they have the same commentators and the same pundits that Sky BT Itv Bbc etc use. Is there some pundits union that's a closed shop? I was hoping for something a bit different from moneybags Amazon 😣 The bonus was you could turn it off and just have the ground noise

Why are people so quick to criticise everything? Especially when it comes to pundits and commentators? It's weird how upset it makes people.
I have Amazon prime and watched the game last night, it was perfectly fine with zero glitches which can sometimes happen with online streaming coverage. It made sense for Gabby Logan to be the presenter as she does 'Back of the net' and it's the first time I've seen Alan Shearer on anything else but MOTD and thought he again, was fine.

They were talking About this on talk sport today. Simon Jordan says the premier league are foolish for giving away their product too cheaply for what is one basic advert for amazon. He also said sky and bt are losing interest in paying for all the premier league for money He reckons is the premier league could be arsed they could set up up a Netflix style streaming platform for the PL 100,000,000 at least subscribers worldwide at 9.99 a month is 12 billion a year before advertising and sponsorships. This money would dwarf what they sell the rights for. And it is only a matter of time before this happens The NFL do something similar and it’s absolutely class.

It is inevitable, with the progression of technology, that at some point they will offer that kind of service - so why not do it now and be at the forefront of something? Anybody that still wants to go to a game will do so.

7.30 was the standard night game ko time for donkeys years. 8.15 is reasonable ko time. Imho 8.30 should be the standard ko time for night games Reasonable for who Joe, certainly not the away fans UTV On the continent 8.45 or 9.00 are often standard kick off times.

Anybody that still wants to go to a game will do so. Why not cut every ticket to £10 Before any advertising 12 billion a year. Let’s assume 1bn a year in total costs. Cameras infrastructure commentary etc etc 10bn to the premier league clubs 1bn shared to football league Then sponsorship

On the continent 8.45 or 9.00 are often standard kick off times. They don’t have the away culture Italy does. Not like the UK but it has it. More to the point if the UK public transport infrastructure was substantial it would ease the stress surrounding the issue

Turning the commentary off is an amazing feature. You don’t realise how much you don’t need commentators.
