This is the combined transfer value of Tonight’s PNE side facing WBA. Our combined transfer fees for the starting xi on Saturday was £50Million+ . What is the fundamental problem @ SCFC? How does our Chief Exec still have a job? John Coates Never has a reply been so true, a total disaster whose father has blown tens of millions trying to bail out his stupid son, lets not forget about rat faced rat as well.

If Denise went onto the floor of Bet 365 and said to the workforce. “Your all now on 40k a week no matter how you perform, no targets - it doesn’t matter what you do”. What would happen? Cue, feet on desk, boozy lunches, golf trips and general don’t give a fuck attitude. A couple of years later Denise can’t understand why the company is fucked despite spending so much money on staff.

That's the industry the players are in though. All players are virtually unsackable (we couldn't even sack Saido). In a normal private company you would be able to get rid of non performers, football clubs don't have that luxury. So if you employ a dud you are stuck with them until their contract is up. Unless you can find another sucker to take them off your hands. We are generally that sucker.

I still believe O'Neill can get this right. Hopefully he can get rid of a lot of players in the window (sold or on loan) and bring in a left back, Verlinden back and maybe a striker too. Out: Butland £10M? Allen £7-8M? Badou £7-8M Woods £3-4M Indi £3M Cousins give away for free? Vokes £3-5M A bit too optimistic maybe? I don't think that we would get anything like £10 million for Butland. I don't think that he ever got over that broken ankle which kept him out of the game almost eleven months. A long, long time for such an injury.
He seems to think too much about some situations rather than react instinctively which goalkeepers must do. I've noticed a few times his reluctance to do things.

I said when we were relegated that we would need 4 transfer windows at the very least to deal with the shambles of the playing squad at that time. Unfortunately we have now had 3 windows and made so little progress,if any that I believe we are still looking at 4 transfer windows from now - and then only if the recruitment process is carried out correctly. It is all about recruitment these days with all the money sloshing about the game.Too much available money clearly leads to a casual approach to spending it for some reason, something I thought I would ever say with regard to our owners. Mr Coates has done so much for this Club but he took his eye off the ball with Hughes and his Chief Executive likewise which started the decline in allowing huge sumes to be spent of the wrong players. They then gave Jones too much leeway to bring in players in quite a haphazard way.The chance was there to start to put together a balanced squad but nothing like it was achieved I should think that all of our supporters will agree that ours has been an absolute shambles over the last 4 years. Unless and until it changes this Club will continue to deteriorate.

Sawyers is the best midfielder in the division. Absolute mustard! He’s certainly the best at what he does. I’d say Pereira looks the most talented player in the division. Have no idea how they managed to get him. Pereira is a joy to watch. How no top side has noticed him baffles me. Although Brazilian, he has been in Sporting's academy for all of his footballing life. Being on loan last season in Germany would have reassured any English club that he could function in the freezing cold (Tuesday night at the Brit. etc). Jenkins (WBA CEO) even held out on signing the loan deal until Sporting agreed that we did not have to sign him permanently, unless Albion wanted him! WBA will sign this gem for less than £9m.

We have made disasterous managerial appointments and suffered the consequences of appointing a very minor league nobody as "technical director": that is why we are so deep in the shit.

He is still young and has got a reputation after playing for the national side so I still have a hope this could happen. Badou is really worth more than the quoted amount of money, but I still struggle to believe we will get any more. Maybe I've been too optimistic again?

If her brother had half of her business acumen and a brain I can't help thinking we would still be in the PL. She would never have put up with Scholes, Cartwright and the useless managers we have employed.

.... over the hill Premier League players, “top end” Championship players all on big fat long contracts. How motivated do you think they are going to be? Sick note Powell takes the biscuit
