A colossus leaving the political stage, how will Labour cope without her gravitarse? Not just Labour politics. A sad loss to the world of mathematics too. She was continually developing new theories and testing established ones. She could have worked wonders with the National debt....

We're all going to miss the comedy. Brian, I think this illustrates the problem of trying to defend an ideology, party or person with absolute uncritical loyalty. I think boris and Trump are doing ok in the public's eye BECAUSE they are unpredictable and perceived as inconsistent

There’s hypocrisy and there’s Bluffer’s hypocrisy?🥺

I see the VILE horrible bitch is making the headlines again I'm not sure that anything she's said there is in the slightest bit controversial. Agree completely. She’s clearly not a fan of Starmer... but no surprise there. That she seems surprised though, that someone in the shadow cabinet might be positioning themselves to be the next leader is surprising. And that she seems surprised that that person might be prepared to shift their position to help establish their position is also surprising. Well it would be if she was really surprised. She is, of course, just taking the opportunity to make a few snide comments at Starmer. And why wouldn’t she. After all the Maybot is doing a similar thing just now aiming her barbs at Johnson and Gove.

Certainly nothing here that constitutes calling her vile, horrible or a bitch.
If it were Priti Patel's sickening attitude and dehumanisation of immigrants I could perhaps understand such invective.

Starmer is the winner here if idiots like Abbott are distancing themselves from him Absolutely. He won't be worried about this in the slightest. If the general opinion of the electorate is that she is allied to Corbyn and seen as a vote loser, and it would appear so, then he'll not be losing sleep over it, I'm sure.

No on this occasion he’s backing the truth Starmer is a duplicitous charlatan of the highest order Somebody's feeling threatened... Starmer probably votes Remain as did most of his party and most of his voters? He then supported a re-negotiate and referendum as agreed Labour policy. After the general election his position like most of his party is to accept the decision to Leave but provide constructive criticism of Bluffer’s oven ready deal when/if it emerges from the oven? That’s a consistently sensible line to take and consistently follows Labour policy. Even Farage wanted another referendum on the evening of the referendum and he thought he had lost the vote?
