There are far bigger wazzocks in Parliament on both sides. Grayling was the most incompetent minister in living memory, in every role he had, Rees-Mogg is just an entitled offensive bastard who hates poor people. Where are these Union Jackbooted Twitter trolls with the likes of these individuals if they put such a high store in competence? If you think nothing else is at work here for a lot of people, then I'm afraid you're deluded. To be fair Momo, i'd say there are 2 far more obvious answers (and before you say it, i'm most certainly NOT a Tory in any way, shape or form, simply someone with a bit of common sense who thinks that playing the race card here is embarrassing)..... 1) Most who take the piss out of Abbott DON'T tend to be Labour supporters (i know that's so blindingly obvious that it may be easy to miss), they're more commonly Tories. Strangely enough, those Tories AREN'T likely to go around taking the piss out of one of their own ministers are they, regardless of how bad he was? 2) A lot of the country aren't actually that engaged in politics until GEs roll around and therefore aren't aware of who all the Govt. Ministers actually are at any given time (it's not like the "Spitting image" days when we all knew who the members of the cabinet were....a lot of people nowadays just don't!) Diane Abbott is slightly more famous as a "household name", not because of her skin colour or evenbecause of her work as a MP, but because of the fact she shagged Corbyn and there was big scandal in the papers at the time......therefore most people will focus their piss taking on MPs they've actually heard of, and the simple fact is that a lot of the public wouldn't be able to pick Grayling out of a "Never mind the Buzzcocks" style lineup. To label people taking the piss out of Abbott as racist is really scraping the barrel. P.S. to imply that people haven't been taking the piss out of Rees-Mogg is just absurd as well as completely untrue! Both Rees-Mogg and Abbott have been ridiculed on many occasions. Both are higher profile (in the media) than Grayling ever has been. That's why those 2 get the piss taken and he didn't...it really is that simple.
www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/05/diane-abbott-more-abused-than-any-other-mps-during-election"A relentless campaign of racist and sexist abuse"Abbott told the study her experience as an MP had gone from receiving one racist letter a week to hundreds every day, including letters covered in swastikas and pictures of monkeys and chimpanzees. “It’s the volume of it which makes it so debilitating, so corrosive, and so upsetting. It’s the sheer volume. And the sheer level of hatred that people are showing,” she told researchers.

Javid in particular doesn't help himself by rowing back on his big talk on a proper enquiry into Islamophobia however. He is wide open to criticism on that.

The divine Ms Abbott then threw in: "What a coincidence - we've been to Pizza Express in Woking, too, and our group of three couples had one pizza each, which totalled four pizzas, and at £2 each I thought £7 was pretty good for a night out. On top of that we all put 10p each in for the tip, so a further 30p was still good value and - yum yum - we'll be going there again soon."

He is not the leader (yet) so cant authorise the inquiry, there is too be one into all types of racism though, no party has the resources too police what random members say on the internet / social media if they are alerted they should be kicked out straight away however for parliamentary candidates you should expect more, when you read the stuff Selma Yaqoob said about Nas Shah yet they bent the rules to allow her in and you read stuff like the below it's hard not to draw the conclusion that Labour just dont give a fuck, if Boris does not deal with racism within 6 months he will deserve everything that comes his way too.

Most quotes come from people of ethnic background. Whether they are helpful to people of ethnic backgrounds progressing in politics is the issue. The facts are that this is a hard right Government which will lurch even further to the right if they win tomorrow and like it or not, policies will be implemented which will deprive people of some of the advantages in life the relatives of Javid, Patel etc had.

No party in this election clusterfuck comes out smelling of roses and with slurs, snide comments, downright lies from again, all parties, it does make one wonder what is the point of it all…? By voting for a particular party (whoever that may be), you are, by default endorsing the aforementioned slurs, snide comments downright lies, as well as the poorly thoughtout manifestos, guarantees and pledges. The whole thing is a sham in my opinion.

Uncle tom is not a racist term The only person using the term in the article is the author. "Any politician that serves in a far-right government is no longer a person of colour. They are a turncoat of colour." "They are a product of internalised whiteness… Patel is used as a pawn in white supremacy and takes it in her stride." Those statements single people out for criticism purely on the basis of their race. The first is an accusation of race treachery and the second suggests that the person is incapable of thinking for themselves and has been hoodwinked by whites. They are both explicitly racist.

The fact that there is a thread wholly for Dianne Abbot and not any of the other equally incompetent politicians speaks volumes. Start one then, no one's stopping you. As someone illustrated further up, Tory voters aren't going to start threads knocking Tory MPs just as Labour voters won't do so for Labour MPs. If anyone's obsessed with race on here, it's you.
