My mrs knowing my fondness of all things scfc past and present took great pleasure in casually informing me how she met Lou and are on first name terms, telling me she spoke to him on the phone blah blah blah, took a patient and discussed this and that with him etc etc (ALL THIS THROUGH WORK) Got to say he and his team do a wonderful job

Is there any money in fish and chips?
I paid £8 for a large haddock in my local fish and chip shop this week, admittedly in Surrey, but its not an obvious vocation for a former Manchester United and Scotland star.

Is there any money in fish and chips? I paid £8 for a large haddock in my local fish and chip shop this week, admittedly in Surrey, but its not an obvious vocation fro a former Manchester United and Scotland star. You need to pay a visit to Whitby. You can get "real" fish and chips there. Fish, chips, mushy peas (twice) and two pints of lager £35. It was an "eat in", but as far as I could tell, the prices were the same eat in or out.
Worth every penny.
Chippies these days just cook a couple of fish and leave them under the heat lamps for hours - and then ask you to pay about £5 for them? Everyone remembers the days when you asked for fish as you entered the chip shop. Unlike now where you get a dried out piece of fish in a concrete block. Or a damp and soggy mess.
So I suppose if our Lou is selling the good stuff - oh yes, there is very good money in fish and chips. Whoever runs those chippies in Whitby will be millionaires in a very short time. Actually I am sure that they are already. They simply couldn't sell it fast enough.
If you want the "real" stuff cheaper, try Robin Hoods Bay. Whitehaven also sells the good stuff. A nice exercise to compare North Sea cod, against Irish Sea cod.
Where did your haddock come from in Surrey Gods?

You think stoke is a dump until you see some of the ugly residential areas surrounding that ground. I'd rather live in a caravan than around that dump, makes abbey hulton look like rome

The owner of the chippy on the Albert Dock drives a Bentley. I've seen him unloading sacks of spuds from it! You can't pay by card at his shop. Funny that.

Leek road uni side looks like something after the apocalypse and I'm often embarrassed that that view is what a lot of away fans see of s-o-t but their areas are a different level. No one even opens the curtains up or downstairs and I understand why lol
