I fear he has lost the dressing room and the plot His formation was a major factor Not a good message for the kids to hear However you look at it we have regressed and it is painful and predictable to watch I just cant see what he is trying to do anymore Today was as bad as anything under any recent manager - as was last week etc Very sad to see the state we have become What is even more concerning as there appears to be little hope for next season and we may even lose Powell due to FFP constraints We really have tumbled in the most amazing way in the last 4 years and yet, lets be honest, nothing underneath has changed and it doesn't look like it will no matter what is posted on here or elsewhere, or even I suspect when we are allowed back to watch whatever is churned out Every manager we've had since Hughes in his last 18 months has lost the dressing room, the next manager if we sacked MON would inherit a number of the same group of over hyped, over paid wasters that got us into this mess. There's a number of players that simply don't have the right DNA whether you bollock them behind closed doors, hang them out to dry on the telly, blow smoke up their ours and tell them how great they are. And unless there's a market for over paid wasters this summer they're going nowhere for another 12 months like an albatross around our necks.....

Yes, both interviews didn't match what we saw on the pitch, which was dreadful. Wonder if he was given a ticking off by the hierarchy?. More than likely he was panicked by Tyrese and a few others liking James McLean’s post about motivation arising out of good leadership. If he hasn’t already, he dare not lose the players, and especially the likes of Tyrese. He probably felt he couldn’t risk a repeat of Monday’s interview, and needed to repair a bit of damage.

Well done Angela Smith on that interview, asking questions that need answering at the minute and I’m not sure the manager was very impressed

Not sure about that - just think he genuinely thinks they are not ready for the Championship, which is fair enough IMO. He's probably right. They all need a loan ideally. He said Norton did well. It's when he brings Vokes on ahead of anyone with a pulse that he loses me completely. We're past the point where bringing him on is defensible Definitely an argument to give Coates a run before the end of the season as well He loves a bit of am dram does bayern..... You said this about his comments last comments before half the squad basically gave him the v’s over it.

I have critisized Ange a couple of times this season but today the questions needed asking and were indeed asked and it was nice to hear, maybe a slight pointer that the unrest is even passing through even the most loyal, and even the media? Shame Michael's answers weren't as good as Ange's questions today

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_stoke17:29 "Norton's not ready to start games, but he showed up well when he was on the pitch" "The youngsters aren't ready to play in games like this. They're on the bench due to the injuries we have" "Couldn't take off a centre-half as we needed them to defend the long throws. Taking one off would have weakened us. It wasn't a day to bring wide players on, who we haven't got much out of" Not going to go down well If Norton “showed up well” how the hell does O Neill know he’s not ready to bloody start games. Has he fuckin tried it!!!! It might prove more fruitful that the hapless Brown falling down and misplacing passes Christ it’s frustrating

Strange that Pete Smith seemed to be shocked with McKinley leaving, saying that even Saturday all seemed fine.. still got a strange feeling about this one.

But he didn't.

He pretty much tells it as it is. Lot of player mistakes, that's the truth of it. If the player's cant handle this criticism they shouldn't be playing pro football and if they are going to sulk instead of trying to put it right then they need to be out of the door.

Not in a Mad Nath style but yes in a polite way. Also added to the self facing prophecy about the younger players and he is not wrong.

Well he talked a load of bollocks regarding James Chester. Why give him another contract when he's just admitted his knee if fucked. We're struggling with FFP why waste wages on someone who's got ongoing injury issues and who isn't getting any younger.

His deal last summer was for one year plus an extra year after a certain number of appearances. Same with Mikel. Both were essentially two year deals.

He’s played 32 Championship games this season, and was an unused sub 5 times whilst fit and available, his knee doesn’t seem to be doing that badly......

I’m amazed the one thing that is never to blame, despite all the individual mistakes, which he’s quick to pick up on, is the fact that he picks them on a regular basis; that he promotes pinging the ball forward to no one in particular, and that it took him 45 minutes to put Powell into a position where he could get on the ball rather than chase it. He’s pretty Teflon coated- it’s always somebody else’s fault; what does he actually manage? Hopefully he’ll manage something better next year.

Giving 2 year deals to both of these clowns was a ludicrous decision.
