Why does he never throw the senior players under the bus like he does with the kids?

No idea. They just introduced him like he'd been here forever. He's very positive, he made it sound a thriller! š....He was ok wasnāt he but I just wished heād called them Bristol City at times and not continually calling them ā the visitorsā Not too bad overall though Thought he was ok too. Anything is better than having to listen to Blakemen for the whole game though š.

Whereās Tom Gayle appeared from? No idea. They just introduced him like he'd been here forever. He's very positive, he made it sound a thriller! TBF he asked a few more probing questions than Nige does . I quite like him.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-bristol-city-michael-oneill-4533424"Itās not a worry,ā said the manager. āWhen youāre playing this system it can be a little bit more difficult to create. I donāt think they had a lot of shots on target either, it was that kind of game. āIn this system thereās a big responsibility on the front players and also the wing-backs to get balls into the box. āBut itās the early part of the season, weāve brought players to the club who are still adapting and still getting up to fitness because of where they were before we brought them to the club.

Why does he never throw the senior players under the bus like he does with the kids? Yeah that was the disappointing bit for me. It was exclusively his trusted old guard who fucked him up today and not a dicky bird.

I should hope it's an attempt at sarcasm. Why he doesnāt slag Stoke off so whatās the beef with him? He's simply not a Stoke fan that's why. The guy cried on the radio when Vale got relegated to league 2 and when I called him a Vale fan loads of people told me he was in fact a Walsall fan. I'm still not sure if he is or not but he definitely isn't a Potter.

I think whether the interviewer is a Vale fan or not is the least of our problems at the moment tbh

The fitness argument is a bit bizarre
Why were they so much fitter than us?
and if some of these players are not up to fitness surely we have 11 out 24 who are fit
I'm pretty sure McClean will be fit.

Worryingly seems heās locked into the system yet itās oretty obvious these players playing this system are go) g to struggle to create , could be in a very tight spot after Birmingham .

Thats us having another shit season then. 5-3-2 a relatively poor, slow defense, no wing backs, zero width and a lack of creativity going forward. He makes pulis seem attacking, and Rowett seem progressive. Why oh why has he shat himself? I'd be surprised to see any of our stikers on over 10 goals if we keep this shit system up.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-news-live-4536973Can you put your finger on why Stoke were so lacklustre on Sunday?MON: Yes, we spent two hours reviewing it yesterday so weāre under no illusions why that was the case. I think we just didnāt press high enough up the pitch, which was a big problem, and the other problem was that we were too deep. When youāre playing this system itās very important that you donāt get into a back five too early. We allowed that to happen too early in the game and subsequently we failed to get any pressure on the ball and on their back three - because both systems were a mirror image of each other. We should have been able to play man for man all over the pitch much better than we did. We allowed their back three to have comfortable possession at times, which wasnāt what we wanted. I think we addressed it 15 or 20 minutes in and then the game was fairly even after that. It was a disappointing goal for us to lose right on the stroke of half-time, actually injury time, and thatās what decided the game. We gave ourselves a difficult task with how we started the game and then obviously losing to the goal that we did. Having reviewed the game hopefully we wonāt see that kind of hesitancy in our play both in possession and out of possession that we saw on Sunday.

Fair comments but doesn't playing Smith and Fox mean that's (going to a back 5) is going to happen naturally?
