Some pretty damning stuff there if true but since when has touching someone's arm over their clothing been sexual assault?

Must admit i thought that.
However, as the article says "Sexually assaulted the SAME woman" (i.e. the woman he had allegedly indecently assualted by grabbing her breast, buttocks etc. in the charge above immediately above that one), i'm guessing that the woman's solicitor said they may as well sling the "touching her arm" thing in as well as it gives weight to their allegation of indecent assualt, as it shows a man who just can't keep his hands of women kind of thing? Plus, due to the alleged offences in that charge above, she may have told him outright never to touch her again, so if he then did that as well you could see why she'd feel threatened/fearful (We have some people involved in the justice system on here so hopefully they can clarify as i'm just guessing)
Be interesting to see if he'd have been charged for touching someone's arm if that was the ONLY thing he'd ever done to her.
It is confusing though that touching her arm and hips is sexual assualt, yet the charge above that of grabbing her breasts and buttocks is indecent assualt?
Either way, it certainly doesn't look good for him with all the rest of the charges as well though

So does this mean the women at work who quite regularly touch my arm, my shoulders and on occasion pinch my arse are sexually assaulting me? Should I go to the police or should I continue to treat it for what it is, a bit of lighthearted flirtatious banter?

What he’s accused of is a few degrees up the scale from “a bit of light-hearted flirtatious banter”, isn’t it? I hope they throw the book at him, I’ve never liked him the fat Scottish twat. And while they’re at it I hope they find something to pin on wee Jimmy Krankie too. She must’ve known some of what was going on and has obviously kept schtum about it.

It’s fair to say the extent of the charges brought against Alex Salmond astonished folk up here.
But, for now, public discussion on this subject, correctly, has stopped. Comments sections in all the newspapers on related stories are closed. There will be no media speculation surrounding the case while the due process of law proceeds.
This means it is awfully hard to gauge the impact of this seismic news on the upcoming General Election and the appetite for independence.
It’s hard to see it having a positive benefit for the SNP, more likely it will be negative noting Salmond’s close relationship with his protégée, Nicola Sturgeon including some unanswered questions about meetings the two of them had as this stuff was kicking off.
Salmond will be the elephant in the room for the foreseeable future.

I just 'Liked' Tricky's post for old times sake.
As for Alex he's either a serial sex offender or a cock happy scot, we'll find out what the jury think in due course.
I've learned it's a fools game to try to second guess these things.

Given there are 14 offences from 10 victims is difficult to explain away as innocent consensual contact.
