I wish I shared your confidence in the board. weren't they lining up Moyes to replace Hughes until the win at Watford? They certainly hadn't lined up O'Neill to replace Jones.back in the day Tony Pulis was, at best, 3rd choice for his first stint at the club...suggests to me that 'succession planning' isn't high on their priority list...yet it is fundamental to most businesses I'm not a fan of Levy but he has shown himself to be a very shrewd operator...as our bank balance will testify He may well have got it wrong with "the (not so) special one", time will tell, but the gap of less than 24 hours between Poch going and Jose signing in tells us it was all arranged beforehand Where did I say I was confident in the board? We clearly though QSF was our man when Hughes was sacked and we’d clearly lined up Jones when Rowett was sacked. Pulis first time round was appointed by a different chairman and we had a different CEO. That went well didn't it? I don't believe our hierarchy ever have a real succession plan, yet the owner runs a massive business, and WILL have a plan for who takes over there...at all levels. Seems to me they run SCFC as a "hobby" and forget all about running a business as soon as they park at the 365, maybe it's just a diversion to keep Jon away from the money...

I didn't say it was a good plan, I just said it wasn't true that they had no plan. Much like Spurs. They have a plan. It's just a shit one. They clearly didn't have a plan for if Jones failed as they'd gone all in on him. We don't have a structure that allows for smooth succession, I agree. Quite the opposite, it seems we chase our tails trying to appoint whoever is 'up and coming' in the most reactionary way possible, often meaning that the new man has a totally different style from the last bloke and inherits a squad needing major surgery. But the owners lack the vision and the will to make the necessary changes at the top to put anything more holistic in place.

If Harry decides it's time to move on now Poch has gone, it could bet worse before it gets better. Mourinho will demand money at Spurs for players. It appears Spurs are skint If Pochetino goes to The Shit as predicted, could Spurs be tempted by a mega offer for Kane by The Shit? The Spanish Shit could easily write out a cheque for him, if they are not still upset about their Welsh shit...

Forced Daniel levy to sack him , with full compo
Not many ,have one over on levy but poch is one of the very few
Now free to " re find himself " at real Madrid , Bayern Munich etc
A smart and sly coach , who will go far
Don't be surprised if he does very well in next job

What the odds on bale back to spurs? At this point zero, as Spuds have no money. However a Kane-Bale exchange would be possible, if Kane is prepared to ruin his career in change for more euros than I can count.

Can't myself see Jose signing for a spurs without a promise to add a couple of top quality players, he's a winner he wants to win things. If levy hasn't give these guarantees I can see it ending in tears rather quickly, levy & Jose is a strange combination

Pochettino has been linked with taking over at Bayern Munich and they'll need a replacement for Lewandowski at some stage so....
