How fickle are the Aberdeen fans though, the lad scored over 40 goals in two seasons for them, he's obviously not hit those same heights this season after an injury but they aren't having a great time and the manager is under pressure. Whether he's good enough or not to play in the Championship I don't know but for them to turn on him so quickly seems weird. Yes it all sounds very familiar. Can’t quite put my finger on where I’ve seen that sort of hysteria before.

Doesn't seem to be having the best of nights Wonder if he's trying to force a sale? With those kinds of comments he’s a vast improvement on Vokes.😂

Why, when was the last time we had the chance to turn on a 20 a season striker...for 2 years running? Was the internet even a thing then?

Even Stoke fans haven't turned on a player THAT quickly have we?

Morales is a trouble maker and gets sent off far to often Which is why Prem teams won’t go for him.

Stoke "monitoring the situation". Of course they are! A tried and tested policy. In all fairness, the transfer team have only watched him 21 times so far, only 4 more to go then we can make a decision.

How much would he cost? Would it be upwards of 2 million and for that to happen we would have to sell someone?

How much would he cost? Would it be upwards of 2 million and for that to happen we would have to sell someone? In the current market he is worth about £1m maybe with add ons, his pre Covid, pre injury value was probably circa £2.5m rising with add ons. If we are thinking of more than £1.5m We are mugs. At £1.5m he's a reasonable gamble, but it is a gamble. I think it's 50:50 he rediscovers that form, many of his goals in that time being penalties. He needs a new challenge for sure he's gone stale and hasn't progressed, perhaps MON thinks he can turn him around.

www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/6600982/birmingham-agree-transfer-fee-aberdeen-cosgrove/The Championship side have agreed a fee with the Dons for the 24-year-old former Carlisle targetman. Sheffield Wednesday had expressed an interest earlier this week but were priced out of a move - but Brum boss Aitor Karanka has met Aberdeen’s asking price.
Cosgrove could complete his move to St Andrews as early as Friday - and leave boss Derek McInnes scrambling for a new striker.

If we really wanted him and have lost out to Birmingham, then financially we are in a worse place than we thought ☹️

If we really wanted him and have lost out to Birmingham, then financially we are in a worse place than we thought ☹️ 3 loan signings suggests we are right at our limits. Even a £2 million fee on a 4 year contract would only cost us £250k for the rest of this season. Our problem is next season, no parachute payments, less scope to flex the FFP rules for the Covid effect and most of our expensive contracts still in place. As Wimmer and Bauer show, it gets harder to keep loaning out under-performing expensive players. We must be worried about Etebo, Badou and Afobe next year. Adding to next season’s cost base is very risky at the moment. Limp through to June 2022 and we have an almost blank sheet of paper to work on.

Yeah loing like we really can't afford to spend another penny. What do we really want?
1. Sell Collins under value (15m top) so we can buy a 4m Cosgrove gamble?
Or
2. save the money keep Collins and push on until next season with what we have in the building?
Personally I'd take 2nd option realistically we don't need to be going up this year. Although it would give us another 3 years ffp after getting relegated from prem with Derby style points tally. 😅
